Ya see, it's like this TT. Some of us ole people don't see so well or what we think we see isn't really what we see! As I was raising my cup to take a sip, I saw a gun--threw my hands in the air, dropping my coffee cup--then thought, "what the F..., that was a cat with a gun....cats can't shoot guns!!!!!!

Too hilarious. I liked the pic of sniper kitty that had an inset of the crosshairs on a german shepherd but i can't find that one now. I much prefer dogs but thought it was just too good to pass up.

Hi folks!

TT sent me here. Says that there are some folks here that can give good advice and have some experience with the epower. All I've used are eGos and Rivas. TT said that a true 3.7v with a DC would be a good match for me. I like a strong, warm hit. My current favorite carto is Ikenvapes new 1.6v cartos. I can't make up my mind if I want to go to a VV, a 5v, or get a good true 3.7v and stick with the LR cartos.

I've tried the DC cartos and they were good, but on the ego it didn't quite get the performance it's made for. TT thinks I would be very happy with the epower and some DCs.

I don't need a new device yet, but my egos are maybe about 6-8 months old and I want to be ready.

I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I have the ego and the riva and I am ready to go the the e-power too. I like the 3.7 volts from the riva but a batt died, the e-power batt is pretty cheap. I think that's what will do it for me to. The dual coil didn't work that good on the ego or the riva, so I hope it works better on the e-power. Probably will order one in a week or two, so I will let you know when I get it.

Posted a question in the technical area about battery and mega dual coil for my eGo-t. If anyone here is a good techie for PV's could you check the link out

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-ego-t-mega-dual-coil-cartos.html#post4085778

Ok oly, let me take a stab at this... the ego is rated at 3.2 and the Riva at 3.7 they both have overcurrent protection to shut them down if the demand is too high... I normally run my DC's on a 3.7 box mod or my 5 volt VV... but during the day at work I use them on my Riva batts..and have had no problems other than shorter battery life between charges....and they do perform better on true 3.7 18xxx batteries.. in my mods.. but performance is acceptable on my Riva's.... I would guess that the problem you are having is due to protection circuit on the Ego batt... JMO..

Hi there pizza, welcome!!! I think TT is right... as I posted on oly's trouble... I can use DC's on my riva batts... but the performance is much better on my mods... using 18xxx batteries... I don't personally own an E-Power... but I know they use the same batteries as my mods...and I would expect similar performance. However there are several folks here that do have the E-Power... I am sure they will be along to add their thoughts... :)

Welcome pizza :) TT told you right about the DCs. They are all that I use with My Buzz and are warm and produce great vapor and TH. The Ego is not quite strong enough for them IMO. You should check out an epower for sure. Vapor Junction has a great sale going on this month too. It is listed below in the Newsletter post :) Good luck!

hopefully I get it right. The ego s 3.2 volt and the Riva and E-power is 3.7 volt. the higher voltage gives a better vape. The e-power also uses cheaper batteries. They are bare batteries that go into a tube that comes in the kit. Bad battery and the replacement is $7 instead of $18 or $20

The Ego and Riva both drop off with use. They do not maintain 3.7 or 3.2 Volts. That is why your first vape on freshly charged batteries is not always as good as the last :) You want regulated power for a consistent vape.

The part that bugs me the most i think is that the 1100 that I have works and the 1300's don't

I understand the confusion... but it is really more about the threshold of the current protection... even though the 1300's have more power available.... if the current sense circuit is set to shut down at a certain point... you will get nada!! even if the current is available.. Ya know what I mean??? cuz it is only gonna let so much current flow! I hope that makes sense...LOL

Oly, am I understanding that you are certain that the battery and atty post are making contact?

Pizza welcome to Texas T's. I do not personally own an E-Power and have not used the dual coils so I will defer to some here that I know have.

I am not 100% but the depth appears to be enough. I'm mostly basing it off the guy i bought them from:
Hi Richard,
I was looking into this and they don't work for me either. Very odd.
I was checking the center depth of the center pin on the carto and the battery, thinking the center pin does not reach. But that is not the case, I added a piece of solder to make sure that center pin (positive post) was making contact. Still nothing. It must have something to do with the specific resistance of the DC cartomizers.

He has offered to let me return them for credit and i'm considering getting an E-power. (yes i'm kinda flighty at times).

Good Morning ! Thought I'd pop in & say Hello before it's time for chores and stuff.
Pokey, That morning cup is OK. I don't usually like pictures with cats in them, but since he's a sniper and all, kind of sparks it up. I have a really evil cat, and she's my 2nd really evil cat, so I really hate pictures of sweet, fuzzy kitties, because they're all lies!!

Well I like cats.

They taste just like chicken.
