Good Morning Everyone!

I thought I'd get up and see y'all off to work this morning.

I used to do what your doing. Fast shower, body slam an Eggo and out the door with an insulated cup of coffee in my hand. Isn't it fun? Then you get in your car and turn on the morning news where they start out by saying "Good Morning" and then proceed to give you fifty reasons why it isn't.

And it really doesn't matter too much what time you leave or how much you hurry. You know instinctively that you're going to be late anyhow.

Then you think about old TexasT out there in East Texas sitting there with a coffee in one hand and vaping some CaramelCream while he watches the sun come up. A real living, breathing Leisure Living Specialist.

But this retirement isn't just a bed of roses. Sometime this morning I have to go up to the Post Office and pick up my Social Security check. At least you'll never have to worry about wasting gasoline to go do that because more than likely you'll never see one. But don't concern yourself with it. Just be happy that your on your way to work.

Enjoy the traffic, the fumes, the horns, the traffic lights, the idiot who cut you off, the lady driving a BMW who is talking on a cell phone while putting on lipstick and steering with her knee ... and remember, all this builds character and personal strength. It will give you something to talk about at the Team Building Meeting this morning.

Like I said, I just wanted to wish you well while your getting ready to go to work and I hope I've managed to cheer you up immensely!

I'm not going to do nothing today.

I just happened to think ...

I used to like to watch all those pretty ladies with their hair done up so fine come out the door in the morning to go to work and watch their hair melt all over their face when they hit the heat and humidity at this time of year.

And those guys that lay around and drink beer all evening. They get a shower in the morning then later walk out the door to go to work and by the time they get to their car they are drenched with sweat.

And here I sit in air conditioned splendor.

It makes me feel terrible.

Pokey poppin' in to keep you company for a second; I ventured outside to see how the world was doing and, not done up in the least, melted all the same.

Think I'll do as you are, TT, and stay within the A/C splendor. And I might switch over to an Iced Coffee before long.

The CC is awesome, I agree with you whole-heartedly. The Cookie is excellent too, if you were lucky enough to have acquired any. It's good to have friends who can mix like a pro.

I'll be takin' it easy today, for sure. A Pooped Pokey is not a fun Pokey.
