Okay Gummy, I'm going back there now.

In the meantime, here is a pic of a new born baby deer that I found a couple years ago while I was mowing with a bush hog behind my tractor. I just missed this little guy and happened to look back and saw him peeking out of the vegetation, so I stopped mowing. Shortly afterward its mother returned for it and the baby followed mommy away on wobbly legs.

I had to take that crop of yours over to Paint shop Pro to enlarge it enough to see the reflection (but I'm old). Actually, that was my wife who took the picture and I think she took it with her Panasonic digital. She has several and is the family photographer. And that's her in the reflection.

What do you use to do the work on your pictures? I use Paint shop Pro XIII. I started out with Photoshop back when it was known as Macromedia and it had a really tough learning curve. I finally went to Paint shop before Corel bought them out and I still use it today.

Corel has never been as innovative as the guys and gals who did the original Paint Shop, but I have to admit it is easy to work with. Just what you get used to I guess.

Your pics are fantastic though and I can see you are a master with layers. Beautiful work!

BTW I put a reflection in it of your avi.

I use Photoshop CS5.
It is the best but my God it's got a learning curve. I'm still finding stuff in it. and have only scratched the surface of it's potential. I just wish I could find a job doing this. I'm to damn old to be twisting wrenches anymore.

I have to agree with you on the thing about turning wrenches!

Your too good of an artist to be wasting your time doing that.

And I can see the avi clearly now! Cool Beans!

I have been unemployed for over a year now. I have found 2 jobs as a mechanic but just couldn't hold up to the hard work anymore. I left the last one after a day and a half and told them that they didn't owe me a dime if they would agree that I was never there. No one will hire me as a photoshop artist because 1: no work history in that field and 2: no degree. The schools are turning out kids with 4 year degrees in this area. so I just chop for fun.

I signed up on that Photo site so I could vote for your pics Gummy Bear. I'm going to have to do some exploring a little later to figure out how to do that.

Man, I'm sorry to hear about the work situation. That's a bummer.

You know, I know my story doesn't have any bearing on your life and what you'd like to do regarding your art. But I wouldn't worry too much about those kids with the four year degrees in graphic arts.

I never finished college and went to work for one company and just busted .... and moved up real fast until all the people with degrees were working for me. It didn't take long and I was over all of Mexico, Central and South America and lived in Venezuela.

Then I was "stolen" by another company at a tremendously higher salary and worked even harder and was put over all of Europe, the Middle East, Asia, North and South Africa, Russia and China. We lived in The Hague in Holland during that time and this time every single person who had a degree was working for me.

My point is, I never let those folks with degrees instill any fear in me because I knew what I could do and the things I couldn't do I hired people with degrees to do it.

Don't let anybody or anything stand in your way when you want to do something. Just get out there and prove how good and how valuable you are.

Your art is excellent. Don't let that talent go to waste.

It is so good to see this house rockin and rollin again. So glad you are back at em seemingly in better state than ever when it comes to the prose TT.... Your wife is absolutely beautiful....You best treat her right or another Texan will slip her right off with his big green tractor!!!!

Congrats on your becoming Vet LD....

Congrats again to tibs and Gummy and a big thank you to Dexter.

I agree with TT Gummy on doing something with graphic design--don't worry about the college degree.

Well I am considerably behind here with everything and everybody, and not even going to attempt to catch up. I hope everyone is doing well.

I did run across something in regards to armadillos. It seems that they aren't content in TX and have migrated to KS the last few years, and are growing in numbers. Would someone please tell how to get rid of them other than SC's way or shooting? It's those one doesn't see that is the big problem. Them along with the possums are becoming a big aggravation...
