I have always been afraid I would sound like a native Wisconsinite. They do have a different language here. Like, who would know what a bubbler means? WTH! We moved here in 91. It took many years to decipher the language.

When I lived in Missouri I actually upset a local gal. She asked me "Fetch me some warsh rags". I went to the laundry department and found plenty of old rags. I gave them to her. At this point she was really P.O'd at me. To make this short she wanted wash clothes-not rags. (This happened in a work environment) She never talked to me after that occurrence.

My wife has friends in Wisconsin. We drive out every year for HODAG. Whilst there I pour on the Wisconsinite accent... dontcha ya know?

OMG! You would fit it! What is HODAG? My son has been accused of not being my son. Let me explain. I have taken him to numerous doctors in Milwaukee. They insist he is not my son. WTH? They think he is British? I have to LMAO because he was born in Columbia, Missouri.

Hodag is a Mythical Norse Dragon-like creature and the town mascot of Rhinelander Wisconsin. Every year in mid-July they have a huge 9 day festival called the HODAG Country Music Festival. The last 4 days of which they have some of the biggest artists in the country scene play... Usually around 8 bands per day. I have seen in the 3 years I've gone, the likes of Reba, Loretta Lynn, Roy Clark, Marty Robbins, Little Big Town, Montgomery Gentry, Neil Mccoy(who has been there 16 years runnin') Travis Tritt, Randy Travis and a a plethora of other artists!

Never mind... I got the tone after I posted... You mean you don't care for Country Music...

I grew up listening to a pretty eclectic mix of musice... from country to rockabilly to be-bop to disco to acid rock, to hard rock to heavy metal....

I can't listen to music without hearing influence from other musicians in it...
