I just remembered that I forgot to update here although most of you probably saw the thread elsewhere. I did call Bovinia today and she is OK. She has been offline since last Friday because of a power outage. Other than a bad case of cabin fever all is well ;)

Whew, glad to hear Bovina is okay salem.

And she's still without power up there? Is that right?

Hey TT. My mom and I saw the sleep doc today (pulmonologist) and we got our scripts for our cpap supplies. My mom got a size small mask as the doc agreed with me that the medium size was most likely causing her issues ;)

Did you know that you have a computer chip in the cpap that they will read on your next visit? It is amazing at how much info they can get from it. They will know if you apnea is better/worse if your mask is leaking and so much more that it is amazing .

Yes and it will be at least Sunday before she gets it back. She said that the entire state of CT looks like a war zone from the fallen trees, power lines etc. She was glad to have a land line as cell towers are down too.

Luckily they have natural gas for their heat, stove and water. She said that it warmed up and the snow melted so they lost all of the food in their fridge/freezer since they had no more snow to pack the cooler in.

LOL, that's good to know salem! I wonder if they will be able to tell how hard the G$% D&#$@& thing hits the wall around 3 every morning?

I even fixed up a chin strap to keep it on and Mrs.TT says it sounds like it is blowing off of my face and then she hears the machine blowing at full speed.

Mrs TT may have to sleep in another room for awhile or sleep with her head at the other end of the bed LMAO!

The machine will blow at full speed when their is a mask leak because it senses the drop in pressure as in if you stopped breathing it would open your airway back up LOL

That will depend on who the mfg is of the med that her hubby takes. The individual mfgs have their own patient assist programs :)

I went back and checked. It was SD who was looking for patient assistance for her hubby. I looked up Lipitor and Pfizer is the one who makes it, so that was a link to their program.

That looks exactly like the mask that I have. Exactly.

We didn't bring the bag it came in and the paperwork, but I'm sure that's it.

Actually, I kind of like the thing and I don't think its me that's tearing it off every night - although it could be I guess. But when it ends up on the side of my head blowing full blast in my face is when it bounces off the wall. And my wife says it sounds more like it is "blowing off my face" for some reason and ending up on some other part of my head. Before I fixed the chin strap it was blowing completely off.

Either way ... it was getting tossed pretty hard.

It is too big I will bet. If it does not fit right it will leak and cause the machine to blow full force.
I hope that you can try a small soon. If for some reason the small does not work you are able to take them back for exchange. If you were at home you could probably do it with the one you have now. You may still be able to do it locally to where you are.

Oh no Sds hubby is having problems with his Lipitor so she was interested in side effects. I don't think that she needs financial assistance. Fran was the one talking about her hubbys expensive med but we have no idea what that med is.

Oh! I was totally confused! I'll keep my mouth shut.

Oh I was thinking about FRan until I re-read her post. She didn't mention the actual drug name. I was tiffed and posted on Lipitor side effects. We have good insurance thus far. We have copays.:)

Hey salem, just be thankful that I wasn't your Daddy!!!

If you had to deal with your Mom AND ME on pills and CPAPS's you would REALLY have your hands full!

Its a battle just to get me to keep a doctors appointment. And the sapsuckers think I should sit there for two hours and wait for them ... when I'M PAYING THEM!!! Their not paying me to be there! Burns my behind!!!
