Man, where am I at when all these purdy wemmin are losing their shirts..... Just my luck...the next county over... Ha Ha!

SC

Hey SecondChance.

Last evening I decided to go down to the pond over on the back side of my land, as I hadn't been there for a while, and look it over.

I grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit in case I could find anything growing.

As I neared the pond, I heard voices shouting and laughing and carrying on.

And as I got closer, I saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in my pond.

I made the women aware of my presence and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to me, 'we're not coming out until you leave!'

And I said 'I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked.'

Holding the bucket up I said,

'I'm here to feed the alligator...'

Good Morning, TT. :)

It is good to start the day with a smile; your story has done just that.

Are you feeling a bit better? I hope so...and from the sound of your story, I believe you are on the mend if not entirely back to your old self quite yet.

Up enough for some coffee? I've plenty to share...

Hiya Pokey, good morning to you too.

I'm feeling much better ... thanks. I can tell I'm not quite over it yet but definitely feeling better. Certainly well enough to drink coffee!

My beautiful granddaughters mom and dad will be here sometime today to take her back to their home. That little girl waited on me hand and foot while I wasn't feeling well and I started calling her Nurse Kylie. She liked that a lot. I could tell by her smile. I'm sure going to miss her.

I don't plan on doing much this weekend just try to rest and recuperate. Years ago something like this wouldn't have even fazed me and in fact, I'd probably have gone to work. At my age now, it just takes all the steam out of my engine.

Hope everything is going good over in South Carolina!

TT

All is well here in the land of Beautiful Places and Smiling Faces, TT. If you are well enough to be drinking coffee, I know you are improving. At least, that's how it works with me. :)

I know you'll be missing your sweet Kylie and feel cheated a bit that your visit was marred with illness. I am glad she took easily to the task of caring for you - she is a loving and good-hearted girl, just like her grand-daddy. I know you and your wife will sorely miss her; a presence of that sort leaves a void hard to fill when gone.

Do take the job of recuperation and rest seriously, my friend. I doubt any of us bounce back the way we used to; but now, a bit wiser for the years, we know the value of what truly matters and I am glad that you don't have that job calling to you as you once did.

**Clinking coffee cup to yours** Cheers to you, TT, and best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

And a big hug as well; I imagine you may need a few extra on such a day as this.
Lub ya,
Pokey

Ooohh, thank you Pokey. Your just precious!

Wifey just took my temp and its actually a bit low, I think she said 97.5

I knew I was feeling a bit cold this morning and I have my usual shorts and shirt on, but had to get my heavy winter robe out to warm up.

But I promise to take the time to recuperate seriously.

Taking it easy is one of the things I do best any more!

Hey Ever1ast, happy Saturday!

Got any big plans for the weekend?

TT

Just work, 12hrs today and 12 tomorrow. But I can't complain, someone's gotta watch over the city; just happens to be my turn this weekend.

Glad you got to spend some time with your granddaughter, as short as it probably seemed. My folks are coming to visit next month from PA to see my two. They try to get down this way a couple times a year. It's a shame they'll miss my oldest's bday, she turns 9 next week. But they'll make up for it by spoiling the crap out of both of them I'm sure.

Keep feeling better, being sick sucks.

LOL, my wife likes the thermostat at 70 during the night and then we sleep under a ton of covers to stay warm!

During the day if it gets too hot and I make it cooler ... she yells at me!

Go figure ...

Morning, Ever!

My southern blood is thin having become accustomed to the blazing heat of this summer. The temps have dropped around these parts for a few days (only in the 90s or so, lol) and I have yet to pull out my winter gear, PJ's included, so an extra wrap in the morning is necessary.

Must be a girl thing, lol.

Good Morning: Back from the gambling boat.......won big so I promised everyone who contributed to my foundation, a piece of the action so I am going to divide it up equally. All who contributed, please p.m. me so I have your addresses. I will have to send cashier's checks because of the sizeable amount.

Looks like some kudos are in order: TT for getting better....glad to hear that. Salem for all the likes....congratulations. And I went back and hit the "like" button for every post SC has made since the like button became available.....don't want him feeling so unloved.

My weekend plans: my husband is putting in backsplash tile between the bottom of cupboards and the countertop all the way around my kitchen--starting today. My job will be to crack the whip--to me I am the motivator, to him I am a pain in the ....

Hope y'all have a great weekend. Hope rain comes to you dry people, and cool fronts to you hot people, and warm fronts to you cold people. Will check in later to see how you all are doing----if I think hubs can proceed without me.

Loved the naked women swimming in your pond joke, TT.

We didn't have that done when we had our house built either so one day we will do the back splash thing too in the kitchen. I love the glass tiles ( we watch HGTV alot) so that is probably what we will do. I hope that everyone has a great weekend. I will be baking cookies for the better part of it lol Well actually only at night. Too darn hot to have the oven on during the day :)

We did get some pretty darn good rain roll through here last night. Made it nice and steamy today but thats OK because we needed the rain :)

Oh and I almost forgot to add. It is 2PM here and I have not had coffee yet! For all of the good karma that I have coming my way not only was I stung by a bee the other day I got up this morning to a non working coffee pot! Given the fact that Walmart and civilization is about 30 miles away I had to go to the dollar store and buy a cheap coffee maker just to get a cup of coffee lol
