I am slower than usual, thank you for asking, Elphaba! :) But in a good way; a quite normal "Pokey" way, lol.

I am trudging through these posts having to read them twice and still not getting it to sink in...more coffee's in order, most certainly. But even then it may not help.

All is well with you, I hope?

Morning Ladies: Coffee is great here. And Pokey....coffee won't help these posts sink in. Nothing will......besides if they made sense, we would not understand them.

No, we wouldn't, now, would we? LOL

I hate to abandon my coffee klatch, but I must.
Good night, Elphaba!
And a good morning to you, gramva and TT.

And be prepared, grams; a new avatar is in the works, yet again. :)

Good Morning Everyone!!

Boy, I actually slept in a bit this morning and have just finished going through all the pages since when I went to bed last night!

Today is day 57 here with temperatures over 100 degrees and from the weather reports it looks like we might get a little more rain next weekend... and temperatures below 100. Be nice to see.

You know, I have to agree with Army Guy (AG). I have a feeling this hurricane isn't going to be as bad as the news people would have us believe. I'm sure in real low lying areas it could create localized flooding and it will be more of a problem along the immediate coastal areas, but not much inland.

At least I guess its okay to hope that damage will be minimal. Millions of people flooded and without power would be a real disaster. We had 90 mph winds through my area with Katrina and we had a few trees blow over and that was about it. Of course, the further south you went the winds were higher and more damage.

But I'm thinking this is more of a media event than anything else. We'll see.

Kubs to all of you this morning and we're praying for the folks in Irene's path ... just to be on the safe side.

You know its those really old folks that have a early bedtime! They get up at the crack of dawn to go out to Cracker Barrel, Hardee's or MickeyD's to eat breakfast then go back home to nap until noon.

You forgot IHOP. Sd. Get your old folks facts straight, or you will sound like a young whippersnapper.

Morning TT: Which "old folks" restaurant did you go to this morning--Cracker Barrel, Mickey D's, or IHop? I was so hungry, I couldn't make up my mind, so I ate at all three. Did you see they were talking about us behind our backs after we went to bed last night?

Daggone, that looks good Cousin K-Space! Wow!

Gramva, we have to eat at home. To get to any of those fancy, dress up places you mentioned we'd have to drive about 60 miles! We live wayyyyyy out in the boonies which is 30 miles past living in the country.

Yeah, they always talk about us gramva. I guess you are just such a shining star to them with your back splash management abilities and I'm a big entrepreneurial type with my Lemonade Stand and Fortune Telling business out there on the paved road.

I also have my PhD that I got on-line for $189.95 plus shipping and handling and it was signed by a whole bunch of people. So I do some doctoring of lumps, bumps, stumps and hickies on zickies for people.
