Elphaba! Is it morning over there? You know, I see that at the top of the ECF page is a "live chat" button. Do you think that does what I think it does? We should check that out. Of course, if I'm sitting here chatting by myself...I guess it doesn't matter. All the little lovelies appear to have gone to sleep. I hang around, because you never know when someone will POP back in!

Oh, Hi Sdh! DID I hear it was your birthday? Hope it was fun!

Ha, My dear sister pointed out how much GRAY I'm getting. I can't see it because, well, it's way in back, and my eyesight isn't so good! She's a REDhead, so her hair doesn't show gray. It just shows as pretty pale streaks. I'd always hoped to have a large gray patch or stripe, or something cool... I suppose it's time to go get dyed...

I use to dye my hair...I stopped after reading about a link to lymphoma. I suppose I will take my gray stripes with pride! LOLGoodnight...have to go to sleep.
When I was *young* I used to henna my hair. I may try that again. My DIL is a hair dresser, so at least I can get some help!
We've had a bit of lymphoma & Leukemia in our family, and it can be caused by a million different things...so I give up trying to avoid them all. I figure that the 35 years of smoking probably did more damage than anything else. Also, I love love vaping, and I try not to worry about the long term effects of pg/vg. Still better than smoking though right??

I sure hope so, techno. I feel better so, therefore, I tell myself vaping is a lot better atleast. :)

Afraid me being a nightowl has about come to a close so I'll probably be "hoo'ing" outta here soon. Promise I'll try to get back more frequently again. Kids are back in school, appliances seem to be on the mend now (knock on wood, cross fingers, eyes and toes and grab the rabbit's foot) and routine is beginning to set in again...hopefully.

Good morning TT and all!

We have a power outage here - WTH? Who knows...the skies are clear and no wind. Maybe it's sympathy pains for my friends up north? I hope all is well with them...

At any rate, I got the coffee made before it went out and have found my old POS laptop and finally gotten it running.

I won't be here long - the battery on this thing is iffy and I can't type worth a toot on this scrunched up keyboard.

If you don't hear from me, all is well. Just no power. ****sigh****

Power outages were one of my major concerns for all our friends along the East Coast and it looks like our Pokey even got hit with it way down in South Carolina. I just hope the daytime temperatures won't be too high there.

When hurricane Katrina hit here everyone was losing their power but for some strange reason we never did except for real short periods. My wife and I went around checking on all the real seniors (like around SC's age) because it was around 100 degrees and real high humidity as I recall, and brought them to our place. We have a big house plus the travel trailer and were able to accommodate quite a few people.

CNN is saying there are three million people without power this morning and I doubt if there is anywhere for the elderly to go and get cooled off. So I hope its a cool day along the coast.

I have a feeling we won't be hearing from many of our friends along the East Coast today.
