Ya know what bothered me more than anything with ECF down was what if it didn't come back up and I had no way of communicating with some of my cyberfriends!!!!!!!

Also, made me think I need to find something else to do when it goes down. No, I don't want to go back to Facebook "Games"!!!!

I'm afraid that our discussions about shopping yesterday are what brought the forum down!

Well they should have notified us, so we could have stayed shopping longer.....

Course, ya noticed the men with the deep pockets didn't show up so we could get some money before we left!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing Toto. I don't know anyones email addresses since I only use the forums or PM to communicate. It made me think that if ECF went away forever (like, they forgot to pay for bandwidth...) ... then I would never ever hear of any of my forum friends again. So sad.

Two of the guys probably saw my receipt and spewed a mouthful of beer onto their keyboards simultaneously which, everyone knows will cause the entire invisible network to overload and shut down.

Oh sure Don't ask about Ole SecondChance! Here I am swingin a blanket in one hand to beat down the flames....and typin with the other one.....had to tie my dang beer can around my neck with a straw..... But that's OK I will be fine.

Really are a bunch of horrible fires here in TX.... but I too am safe!! So many are not so fortunate!

Hiya Gang!! Yeah, we're safe from the fires right now but the smoke is real heavy in the air again this evening. I was telling salem that tomorrow I think I'll hook my travel trailer up to my truck and just have it ready in case anything happens closer to us. We're surrounded by forest except where I have my pastures and everything is so bone dry that if a fire does start there may not be a lot of time to leave.

There is zero rain in our ten day forecast and it really is a very serious situation here. There's so many fires going right now that I don't know the exact number and the people fighting the fires are being spread very thin.

We have had some weather with temperatures in the mid-80's though and I'm enjoying it a LOT!! Been able to get out and do things outside that I couldn't do in the 105 to 110 degree temp's. I'm liking this!

When I saw the fires were in Central Texas, I immediately thought of you SC!! I'm glad to hear you are OK. Fires are horrible, but made even worse by TX's drought this summer! I hope they can get them under control soon! Thinking of you and all the fine people of Texas!!
