We were po as dirt when I was little and my mom made those for us I remembered them just about 10 years ago and they are still as good :)

I thought we were rich because we had linoleum on the kitchen floor and nobody else out there in far south west New Mexico did. The only times I can remember eating ice cream is when we made the once every six weeks trip to Douglas Az to go grocery shopping. Sometimes we'd get a nickle to go to the movies!

Alrighty, I am back....and trying to catch up again as usual! T, that's a good idea to have that rig ready to roll...cuz these dang fires move fast and can jump huge distances... keep them eyes peeled over there....

I heard the one that was less than two miles from me that they put out the other day has re-kindled so I hope they can douse it quick... and the one on Ft. Hood about 10 miles from here has consumed about 4000 acres and they are still fighting it!
And the one down south around Bastrop is just horrilble...over 500 homes lost already and it is classified as Out of control.... just Bad every where!

Ok, aren't I just the cheerful one tonight! On a better note we are all safe and back together again!! Yeah!! :toast:

Good Idea salem, the other place still gives us a link....cept I couldn't get it to load today either... for awhile anyway...

Yeah, your in a bad area there SecondChance. I think I heard them say on the news that the Bastrop fire is burning away from Austin, so that's good I guess, but still, a lot of people are going to suffer because of it.

I still won't take my tractor or 4 wheelers out in the woods or pastures. I don't want a spark or hot equipment starting something I can't deal with. I did wash my 4 wheelers, service them and ride them around in our yard today. It was good to be back on them.

yep T, I know what ya mean...anything will set this stuff ablaze.... but the cooler weather is sure nice even with all the other junk goin on! I spent some outside time myself....sure did feel good!

SC

Yeah, wifey, the kids ... everybody ganged up on me when it was hot and wouldn't let me hardly go outside and do anything except mow early in the morning. I'm really enjoying being outside again and doing things. I reall want to do some work in my garage/shop and get it cleaned up.

We worked all around the house today thinning plants, trimming things, weed eating all that stuff and its looking pretty again. Wifey had kept those drip hoses going quite a bit, so all her plants around the house survived.

It was nice though and we got to spend some quality time together ...

until I by accident squirted her with the garden hose and you know how cold that well water is ...

She called me bad names.

Again.

I would fix me if I could, SC. I've been trying to do that for years.

I am honored, TT, that you would even have a fan club for me, let alone be the President! Wow...just wow!

Both of you take care of yourselves and stay out of trouble - at least in the real world with all those fires about, please and thank-you.

Nekkid Pokey is signing off for the night. She is tired from all of this ECF hoopla, today. lol

Well if you have crawfish more than 21 feet long weighing in at more than a ton, remind me not to swim in that darn creek when I visit lol
Did I tell you that one of my neighbors killed a 14 foot long gator out there at the little lake where we have our lake houses?

Yeah, that was about two weeks ago. As many people that swim in that lake I'm kinda amazed that .... oh well... it just best that gator is gone!

Oh our house in Charleston was on a huge reservoir well known for the gators. The boat landing was right next to our house. Well we had HUGE gators that would "sun" in our backyard. People would bring their dogs and go swimming off the boat ramp! We would warn them but gave up because they never listened! Darn things would snap up my ducks and I just despised them!
