I think if I ever need surgery again I will fly T in for the day :)

OK. Will you bake me cookies??
And the fact that your surgeon is also an anesthesiologist explains a LOT. He has had practice! I was not good at starting IVs before anesthesia school because I didn't have many opportunities to try.

Hey 75, when you get a chance check out a thread in this forum called under the covers lol There is some good stuff in there but it will make you watch what you say :)

Actually, it doesn't do any good to watch what you say. There are some people around here (i'm looking at YOU DeX!)..who will take the most sweet & gentle comment, and manage to mangle it into that thread.
I've decided it must mean they LIKE you right?

ouch 757. I want to send you an ice pack, just looking at that.:(
I've had them shoot contrast solution into the muscle instead of a vein before, and that was bad enough. At least it didn't scar me for good...just scared the bejesus out of me for a couple days...

The night before I had my gallbladder removed my arm went cold and numb in the one that had IV.
Found out that the nurse had pierced through the vein. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya Everybody!!! How's everything?!

Doing good down here in dry East Texas. Went in for my appointment with the breathing doctor.... I don't know what you call them, anyhow, she did the breathing tests on me and discussed the sleep study.

Long story short, she said I quit breathing 219 times per hour, that sometimes they do see people like me - about once every five years and that this was one of the very worst sleep studies she had seen. I also have emphysema and will have to use an inhalator twice a day and that a customer service company will contact me and bring the CPAP to the house one of these days.

So all in all it went real good and I got out of there and headed straight to Churches Fried Chicken to drown my sorrows.
