CVS ain't one bit better.

Oh, I think it is. My CVS has a drive through window for drop off and never takes more than 45 minutes to fill. I drop mine off, go to the grocery store or whatever I may need to do and go right back to the drive through for pickups. Plus for non controlled meds, they have auto fill for refills.
I like CVS better than WM any day but that may just be me :)

Wally world states they will text me but they never do. I loved Walgreen when they accepted my insurance. However, they think their special now and refuse Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance.

Really? I did not know that. I have BC/BS but now that I think my script service is different :)

Sometimes I pick up my Dad's prescription for him. It's at CVS and they call him when it's ready and it takes five minutes to pick it up. The CVS headquarters is only a few miles away from here, so I wonder if they give special consideration to the locals. Probably not, though.

I have the same experience with them too.

On the Rx's ... it seems like the problem might be the particular people at a particular store than it is the store chain.

At WM in Nacogdoches, Tx the people are rather unfriendly and never want to be helpful, slow and would rather argue and love to make you wait forever and ever and ever.

At WM in Center, Texas the service is fast, friendly, the pharmacist will take the time to explain the medication and any side affects/cautions. You just couldn't find a nicer bunch of people to deal with.

Between my wife and I we have to take a lot of meds and the nice service sure makes a difference.

So just park and walk in. go ahead, give the old geezers out front on the bench a thrill when you prance by.
Be careful though. the may go into pacemaker overload.

The "old geezers" always give me a big thank you for bringing a cart in from the parking lot.

The thing they don't know is that I need the danged thing to hold myself up so I can walk that far!

Yes in Wisconsin I can say Walgreens no longer exist for us. It is sad because I loved Walgreen's. Our insurance company told us Walgreen's would not budge in lowering their prices...thus no longer a contracted pharmacy. I use to drop off the scripts and go shopping. I would come back and they always had it ready. I would only have to wait 10 minutes if I went into the store.

Good afternoon everyone! I had my Wally world experience today. I must say I might be changing pharmacies to CVS. A new CVS opened its doors yesterday. I am so tired of the numerous hours I have to waste in order to fill a medication. It's insane!
Ok, rant over!

Hope you peeps have a great day! BBL to bounce!

Mod- I am planning on this set up. HP pavilion laptop 6GB memory, 640 GB Hard drive, Model DV6-6c35dx sold at Best buy. What do you think for a entry level lap top...:)
Checked the specs. Looks good. You have room to upgrade to 16gb of memory if you need a bit more speed. HDD capacity is good. The processor is AMD's new laptop line and can be overclocked to 2.5ghz. Good speakers, newest/fastest wifi and ethernet card. Overall, it should be a very solid laptop for you.

LOL TT, that reminded me of what my son said about why people working in stores and retaurants here are so much more pleasant than they are in Charleston. My son said it is because they are just so damn happy to have a job at all in Mayberry RFD

I wish I could but Class 2 regulated medications (DEA) one has to bring in the written script. It cannot be called in due to federal laws. (I wish it was easier.) :)

Yep, I have a few of those too, Sd. The real PITA is that I have to pay about 6-7 times as much as I would for mail in because the doc can only write it a few days before it is due. That forces me to get them filled at a local pharmacy and not to be able to utilize mail order for them. It sux :(

You call it in first, Sdh and then they call you when it's ready to pick up.

Ours offers auto fill. When the prescription is due to be refilled, I get an automated call asking me if I want to fill it. So, I don't even have to think about remembering to refill.
