See, but thats 1/2 my problem. I don't know what I am looking for. Sometimes I know right away which are the good ones and sometimes not. I guess that I just don't know enough about what I am looking for to be able to judge.

Hey TT, I looked across the pond this morning and saw massive white blooms. I thought that the Dogwoods had already started blooming but it is our plum trees. We are almost sure to have another freeze like you have so no plums this year for us either
I sure hope out plum trees make it and I hope yours do too. These home grown plums are the most delicious things to eat that there is. And they bring the deer right up close to the house. We've even had them grazing along the edge of the porch.

I've managed to get my karma up by doing a good mix of 4567's & then of course, 8,9 or 10 for Gummy!
I also go vote in contests that Gummy isn't in, just to practice voting & build up my Karma.
I think I'm in the 90's now.
I don't leave comments too often. Gummy's work is usually pretty easy to give a high vote on.
You know, when we first built this house, DH would come in the house after being outside all day and tell me how delicious the plums were. When I asked where mine were he would say well there weren't that many lol A couple of Thanksgivings ago I was telling my mom about the "supposed" good plums that we had out there. Now DH brings me a handful every year

Ours get to be a pretty good size. Not like the ones in the grocery store from the mega-farms that have no flavor. But these at the house have great flavor. I love 'em!!
And I ALWAYS bring my wife some ... cause I'm sweet.

Yea I know. The other day I put my drinking horse in. It took me a month to chop that one. and then I sat on it for about 2 more months waiting for just the right contest. Cool here it is a beer contest, perfect. And I get beat by a stupid blow bubble that 98% of the picture was taken from the tutorial on how to make bubble animals. The guy didn't even change the background or make an animal out of it, he just filled it with beer. I could have duplicated his chop in less than 12 min.s. Yea the place can frizz you off if you let it. Don't let it . it's just for fun.
See! Thats my point. I would not have a clue that person had done that. Many of us would just say ooh, pretty picture. Never having a clue how much effort did or did not go into it.
These are wild plums. We have never really had a bumper crop but the trees are very pretty
