TFA double RY4

Do I need alot of materials to be able to make it myself ie beakers and stuff or is it pretty easy -- where do you get the flavorings and nicotine juices ?

I'm new to DIY too, maybe some other guys with more experience will chime in. It's not that hard just start with some simple recipes (1-3 flavors) and keep accurate notes of your mixes.

I started with a 1ml, 3ml and 10ml syringe; a 14ga, 16ga and 18ga blunt tip; unflavored nic liquid, a funnel, couple of disposable pipettes, 0mg PG, 0mg VG, empty juice bottles (if you need them) and a gallon of distilled water (grocery store) for cleaning syringes. I got all my supplies and TFA flavors from Wizard Labs.

The strength of nic liquid you'll need depends on what mg nic and PG/VG ratio you prefer to vape... I vape higher %VG juices at 18mg nic or lower. I don't want to mess with mixing with the dangerous high nic liquid so I start with 24mg nic unflavored VG, add PG based flavors and a little 0mg nic PG if needed to end up with a ~75% VG 18mg nic juice.

For small samples I mix a 30ml bottle of 75% 24mg VG, 25% 0mg PG to use for a base (25PG/75VG, 18mg base liquid). Then I add flavors which is usually ~15-20% and I end up with a >50% VG, <18mg nic juice which is fine for me on 3ml samples to tweak flavor %'s on a recipe.

**I recommend you not to use high mg unflavored nic liquid, it's dangerous. You can read some of the cautions and guidelines in the Stickies in the DIY section. Just a heads-up if you haven't read them already.

TFA Bavarian Cream 5%

My question is my friend wants it Mentholated, would this flavor combination work with Menthol?

That's my ADV, I highly recommend it!!!

I am also now using Nature's Flavor Organic Caramel Creme instead of TFA caramel, it's much, much better.

I make this version,
10%DRY4
5%Caramel candy
5%Bavarian cream
All TFA flavours

To make 30ml I use,
3ml DRY4
1.5mlCaramel candy
1.5mlBavarian cream
9ml PG
15ml VG@9mg

That gives me 30ml of 50/50 PG/VG @4.5mg of nicotine.

I use a 10ml glass graduated cylinder to measure,then pour into bottle.

That's not my mix,I got it from tc1.

Im not aware of what dry4 is --- I thought most folks used tpa double ry4 ---but Im having a hard time even finding the double ry4 in stock

Yes

The flavouring is usually in PG so for me I treat it as part of the PG component.

still love my dry4 as my go to but now im on a TFA berry kick, the boysenberry rocks lol

Another newb question: I see alot of folks mixing to a 50/50 ratio I have always ORDERED my juices 70/30 -- is a 50/50 just for more vapor or does it taste better ?

I mix 50/50 for more Vapor

The more PG your liquid contains, the less vapor and more throat hit you'll experience. The opposite is true of VG.

I like a little of both sides of the spectrum, so I use a 50/50 base. What you may or may not prefer is up to you.

I have not read a post of anyone making a good,or even close,clone of Tribeca and not sure it will happen.The reason i say that is,Halo's base has a unique taste to it and i do not think anyone,except Halo,knows the base and flavors they use to mix it with.I am still trying to figure out a good Halo Prime15 mix.

I found one for Tribeca it was TPA RY4 double 12% with 2 drops of acetyl pyrazine/5ml
