I'm a proud Canadian Vaper.

I have now made it 4 weeks without analogs and I could not have done it with out the help of tha Canadian Vendors, ECF & the numerous supportive members.

As a Canadian I have a lot to be thankful for in our vendors. They are true Trail Blazers, standing up for what they/we belive in. And taking all the risks that goes along with it.

You have helped make my transition to a nonsmoker a reality. That is a 35 year battle that I once belived I would lose.

Thank you, eveyone of you. Don't ever forget, you saved a life! You made a difference!

Yes a big street shout out to our vendors,we are all behind you and a big shout out to the ECF. I too was a long term smoker 37 years of puffing on coffin nails. If I had not found E-Cigs and this forum as well,I would most likely be very ill if not dead.If health Canada is reading this take notice of what is being said.E-CIGS WORK!!!!!!!! now get your heads out of your A$$e$,quit being money hungry and in cahoots with the pharmaceutical companies and listen to what works.I think its high bloody time you actually cared about our health instead of lining your pockets with our hard earned money.I for one will never stop vaping and will break the law and go underground to stay smoke free.

I have tried gum nope did not work...tried the patch nope did not work....tried the inhalers nope did not work. All these were as useless as boobs on a fence post.I'm sorry for the rant, but I am sick and tired of our Gov't trying to run our lives, when they can't even run the country right, take a lesson from other countries where it has been proven that E-Cigs work, let us vape in peace, let the vendors do what they do best....and that's care for us and take care of us,something HC knows nothing about.

I must apologize to MadValleyVapingMama for going crazy on her thread. HC ticks me off no end. Cheers and vape on People

No apology needed, I totally agree.

I tried all that crap, plus sum.

The prescriptions where the worst. Enough to make a sane person lose it, I meant lose it in a scarey kind of way. Been there done that. Never Again. I have a lot of attitude, been through my far share of crap, cuz sometimes crap just happen, & you have to deal with it I know from experience, using prescriptions to quit smoking is not always the best choice, even if you have the best Dr. Sometimes that stuff is just evil.

I too will join you underground if it gets to that. I believe this is the right way and I will not take a step backwards.

I remember having aggressive urges on Zyban. I mean if a person looked the wrong way at me I had to control the urge to hit them in the face. Considering I am a very gentle person, this was alarming. Plus it didn't cut the urge to smoke. So I didn't try Champix or whatever it's called. Way to risky IMHO for me.

Otherwise I tried it all and most of it multiple times thinking that maybe the next time it would work. Finally I gave up entirely and resigned myself to dying of lung cancer or heart disease with a smoke in my hand.

That is until someone told me about e-cigs and how it really helped them. Figured I would try them and see if I could cut back at least. After a couple of days those Analogs were history and I have never looked back or been happier.

Congrats on the 4 weeks. Before you know it another month will go by and then another. :) Then you will be posting your one year mark.

So totally agree with everything said here! For all our little gripes and complaints about this and that, if it weren't for our vendors having the brass cahones to stand up for us all to provide us with everything we need, we would all be in that nail-biting la-la land of hoping and praying shipments made it across the border from where ever we ordered them. A big shout-out to each and every one of you vendors out there!!

I'm in the same boat. Long time smoker, and tried everything too..gum, patches, Zyban, it all sucked. To be completely honest, I did not have much hope with vaping. I tried it a couple of years ago with a cheap setup, and got sick pf something ALWAYS breaking or not working...or something. It had lots of potential, but the aggravation factor was too high.
I started out with a Ego, and it actually seemed to work as advertised for a change. Then I went to a Revolution V2 and it worked even better.
Then, I bit the bullet and went for a GG Stealth, and an Ody. It almost made me quit vaping again. The learning curve building coils, assembling it without flooding it or leaking all over the place...If it had been the first one I bought, I'd have ditched it.
But...all of a sudden, things started to click. I figured out what I was doing wrong, and started to get working coils. I started assembling it properly, and the flooding and leaks stopped.
Now, it's nirvana. I fill it every two days, rebuild a coil frequently for the best experience, and it's just a thing of beauty. No more analogs for a long while, no desire for one at all.

I also agree with everyone here. I had a very horrible time on Zyban and doc wasn't smart enough to say stop taking it.
I finally figued that out myself and think I have some lasting issues from it.
I'm at 31/2 months smoke free and loving vapeing.
I no longer take a blood preasure med and cholesterol went down as well so don't have to about that either.
Thank You ECF I don't know if it would have gone so well without all the help and tip and tricks!
A huge shout out to the venders for keeping us supplied and passing along their knowledge as well!

Congrats on the month smoke-free! I agree with al that has been said. I was a 22 year smoker, and likewise, nothing worked worth a pint of monkey wee. When I discovered E-cigs and found local vendors to buy them (and juice) off of, the first puff I took was pretty much it. I knew they would work, and they were fantastic. I did have a stint where I went back to analogs (long story), but I came back to the fold and, having sorted out the issues I was having, have been vaping happily ever since. These things are seriously incredible, and they just keep getting better. That's why I took to doing reviews, it's in part to support our vendors by reviewing their products and getting their name out there, but also for new and veteran vapers to get some kind of exposure to the products that are available and to show my appreciation for the community and the help that I've received during my vaping journey -- and continue to receive for that matter.

We have some of the best vendors anywhere, and whether or not some of them are overpriced, I wouldn't be here without them.

Most of us Canadians owe no small debt to you sir for the honest reviews that you have provided us with helping us all down our vaping paths. As for our Canadian vendors we truly are blessed with a few amazing vendors that I make sure to thank for their outstanding service each and every time I order from them.

Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate all of the reviewers that I'm a fan of and that have turned me on to some great products, so I just want to perhaps do the same, and maybe help someone who perhaps can't find their mojo discover something that might work better for them. It took be a long time to find mine, but once I found it, it was bliss, and I have reviews to thank for that. :)

Looks like someones trying a little too hard to be politically correct.

We live in a capitalism based system. Saving our lives??

You demand, they supply, you pay, they profit. Nothing more.

Sorry to pop your vapour filled bubble.

You're entitled to your cynicism, but all of our vendors are also vapers, and while there's certainly profit and loss at the end of the day, they're also interested in offering products they themselves probably enjoy and use and want to help vapers get away from analogs.

They all started where we started, and got the same help we did. I sincerely doubt any of them ever forget that. I've had the opportunity to open up shop myself. If I weren't completely crap at matters of business, I'd open up in an instant, and I'd want to help new and veteran vapers equally. Sure, I'd want to make money, but it would be as much about helping folks as I've been doing as running a business. I can tell you that there are no few existing vendors who feel the same way, and probably most of them do.

Maybe you should attend a vape meet sometime. You'll maybe get to meet a few and get to know where they're coming from better.

Who you referring to?

That person may be interested:D

This thread!!

In the meantime lets start a thread thanking our local grocery stores for overpriced frozen pizzas but its ok because I love pizza and in a way they are saving my life because without them I just might die of starvation.

Tear.

Are you kidding Ken? The point is, our Canadian vendors are taking a risk in supplying us with these products due to the current climate on e-cigs & nic juices in Canada. There are Canadian vendors who are most certainly not underpriced, quite a few fantastic ones at that. I'm glad that they serve me (and so well) so that I don't have to go across the border, wait longer, and pay more, for my goods. Nobody is saying that a vendor saved their life. What they're saying is that they take the risk to provide us with fantastic service and great, fairly priced products and if they didn't we'd be a lot more limited. We've all saved our own lives by quitting smoking but the great vendors of Canada have certainly helped me along the way whether it was with trusted advice/info, a special deal or discount, freebies with my orders, or "just" excellent service.

What bothers you so much about that?
