if you are interested in an rta, you don't have to make your own coils, you can buy pre built coils to install
I can't help suggest any tanks though, i'm strictly an rda but I don't make my own coils either, not when I can buy them dirt cheap off of fasttech and a bag of cotton for $6 that will last me for many of years.

also keeping in mind that too thick or too thin juices will cause wicking issues
sweeter juices and darker colored juices will tend to gunk coils up faster
personally my coils sometimes only make it a day, usually 3 days....if i let them go for a week....well....it looks like something died

Probably not what you want to hear, but there really isn't a magic solution.

IMHO you have three basic choices -

1) Go for a higher nic unflavoured juice, or at least one with less sweetener, which should have you vaping less and increase coil life. Sweetened flavoured juices gunk up coils.

2) Go down the rebuilding route/consider Squonking - it really isn't that difficult and there is plenty of info on here and on YouTube. If you do that the coils will not wear out quickly, but you will need to learn how to wick and change wicks.

3) Continue as you are and accept that you will be buying and changing coils a lot.

IMHO there really isn't a way to square the circle - sorry.

Chainvaping without TC can indeed be murderous on coils. It may or may not also be your juice, but well, IDK. The Crown Uwell (if you can find an original although some of the later Crowns also have a rep for being okay, although I think they are less flexible on coil type) have a reputation for decent longevity.
I think some are TC capable.

If you ever decide to go down the RTA road, you with thank yourself, I promise. I have a fine motor tremor and I build, it is sometimes a Pain but it's worth it for flavor and longevity.

My other suggestion is to buy 3 more setups (various things) and rotate them. Because if you chain vape, more setups will help, although TC and perhaps a different tank may help but I say keep the two setups you have now in rotation and see how your coil life improves just switching between setups when you chainvape.

Agree, I have a tendency to chain vape on occasion, well, more than just "on occasion". When the atty starts tasting "off" I st it down and take up another. After the first rests a while, when I come back to it, it is fine.

Agree with the last two posts - I work with a seven day rotation when I am using tanks, just as I did when I smoked pipes. Rest = Recovery, again IMHO. When I do feel the need to chain vape, when life cuts in, I use a GS Air with a 0.75 ohm coil and higher than usual nic strength unflavoured liquid. These out of fashion atties and coils can run for 6+ weeks if run around 6.8 to 8 volts with say an 18 strength liquid and you can DTL on them if needed.

My daily average is 15ml/day. Quite constant.
And I meant 75 VG, 25 PG.
I used to do Max VG but then I increased the PG to see if it could improve things a little bit.

Rebuilding? Nope. I don't want to mess with the coils. Maybe replacing the cotton? I see Shawn Hoefer mentioned RTA which by a quick google search I see they can be purchased and rebuilt ....

Back when I used factory coils I used to change my coil every 5 days or so.

For as high as your consumption is, your doing remarkably well on coils. My consumption was only 4-5 ml per day and I changed out my coil as often as you are.

What makes coils go bad faster is sweet ejuices, or gunky ejuices like some tobaccos.. the less sweet your ejuice, and the more clear your juice, the longer your coils will last.

People are telling you to use rebuildables, but if money isn't an issue then it won't solve your problem, because you have to change out your wick as often as your changing your coil now.

The issue really is how much the juice you vape is gunking up your coil and wick.

vape clear juices that aren't as sweet is your best bet, but you still have to change your coil periodically.. it's the one constant maintenance in vaping.

Thanks again for all suggestions.

Good luck. But just to note, take my “month” claim with a grain of salt. My vaping habits could be vastly different than yours although I never experienced a problem chain vaping high VG (up to 80%) with the GT Mesh, high sweetener content within your juice can also play a huge role in a coils longevity.
I received the GT mesh coils today and installed them both on the Revenger and on one of the Swag. Counter reset to zero. Let’s see how it goes.

One positive thing I can already appreciate from the first puff: I like the flavor.

One potential problem, maybe. Recommended wattage is 65-80 with minimum 50W.
The Swag uses one battery only. Even with a Sony VTC5A it’s going to be close to or above limit. My batteries are also getting old, I’ll buy new ones.

The VTC5A is rated at 25amps which is good for 70ish watts. You are fine. Obviously experiment to find your sweet spot but I ran the GT Mesh at around 50 to 55 watts.

You should also give Ccells a try. I use them exclusively in my Vaporesso tanks in TC and Power modes. I mix my own juice at 80vg/20pg heavy on the flavors and a shot of sweetener. I tend to chain vape and my coils last for weeks at a time. A lot of people really like the mesh coils so you may have already found the answer you were looking for.

Thank you. I tried two Ccells last year but I have to admit that I was not able to get good results. It was probably me but I could not detect any flavor out of them.

And yes, at this point I can confirm that the mesh coils were the solution to my problem and I did not have to change my vaping habits. The first coil lasted until I managed to burn it two times. Interesting that after the first time I did not notice any change in favor so I was able to use it for few more days (until I burned it again).
The second one is still working perfectly.

So, again, thanks forum for your help!

I'm just using a smok nord at the moment with mesh coils and I vape pretty constantly. I'm on day 7 with my current coil so I would say it's pretty good.
does it lasts for you? i did tried mines, well, a full charge never ended the day with me...

My batteries are also getting old, I’ll buy new ones.
imrbatteries.com please get legit hardware, avoid cheapass ones and enjoy!
Lg HG2 are always well recommended, and also 25R's from Samsung,

Avoid re-wraps, so far the unique manufacturers are:
LG, Samsung, Sony/Sanyo and panasonic.... they have factories,

Regards,

max vg only means no "added PG" since most flavorings and nic are in a PG base a "Max VG" liquid with 35% flavoring could be 65/35 and still be a Max VG juice
