OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!

I got this baby today and I was floored ... completely floored ... with how it turned out.

First you need a little backstory to understand my reaction ... Alucard is a personal friend of mine and he decided that I needed a juicebox for Christmas. So ... he ordered me one ... and had lots of people help in the design. Until it showed up today I had NO IDEA what it looked like ... but I got some, um, interesting hints.

Today when it showed up I couldn't believe how well these guys pegged me ... I have had a minor obsession with Jessica Rabbit since I was little, but they didn't know that so for it to show up like this (not to mention the personalized alterations) is really special to me. I LOVE IT!

As for the juicebox itself ... well ... it is a masterpiece of utility. I followed the instructions ...
and then immediately flooded it ... figures. So Truelove linked me to this tutorial:

YouTube - TheCarlos49's webcam video January 22, 2010, 07:26 AM

by Carlos on youtube and within minutes I was getting MUCH better vapor. I think the atty still needs to break in a bit but for now it is much better vaper than a normal 3.7v PV or mod and it tastes great. Not having to keep refilling is also equally awesome.

So ... to Alucard, Carlos, Truelove, Porphy (Ben-AVEjuice.com), jvapor and all the chatters that previewed it and made comments and taunted me with knowing something I didn't (that means you Xeno ... but I still love you :p ) THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! It is perfect ...

Wow...Absolutely the bomb ! It's beautiful !

Isnt it wonderful ? vaping without worrying about attys blown or ever having to change them out ???

I love my juice box.....and i'm glad you got yours and loving it.

Carlos is the single most impressive inventor i've ever imagined to even see.

Glad you are loving it !

So, what other vapes do you have, and how do you compare the jb2 to them? And would you mind asking your friend when he ordered it? And finally, do you see yourself getting another PV after using the juicebox? Thanks.

I have an SB (single atty and double atty), a BB, an xhaler, a lil' chuck and the juicebox of course. I can't really give a good assessment quite yet completely because I am still working the learning curve for the JB but so far it is VERY well built and the flavor is amazing. The SB is still my fave ... because it is an amazing device, but this one is definitely the closest to my heart. I will ask him next time I see him when he ordered it.

As for buying more ... I have a bit of a shopping problem ... within the next few weeks I will have a copper, a V2 and a Chuck on the way ... tehehehe

Anyone have a clue as to what type of atomizer he uses? I'm amazed at people saying it will last easily 6 months... i barely get 1 month out of ANY atty in my 510! If his atomizer is a custom built piece, he should consider patenting it and reselling the tech to other e-cig manufacturers so we can all have an atty that lasts longer than a month!

I think I saw in a video that there are patents pending. But with a bulletproof atty in his design only, why would he share one of his major strengths with his competitors? Don't think I'm trying to slam the guy; he's selling the mods and working his ... off, so this is a business, not a hobby. We fought a pretty big war over here about a hundred and fifty years ago over the whole making people work for free concept.

My knowledge of patent law is paltry, but I have heard that is a major PITA: 1) people can try to get around it by changing one minor thing, and 2) he will have to defend his patents in court and take his time and attention away from making the jb2. (More specifically, from making MY jb2...:D)

Another jb video states that Carlos remanufactures attys and removes certain faults and weaknesses in the designs that causes them to fail. I can only presume that the attys are intentionally designed with these faults, either to save on the costs of making them or to make them a disposable, replaceable item. Considering that we the consumers have accepted this for now, this also make sense as a business decision.

I've read on a forum on the modders section (hot modder juice box from germany) that there's an open source coalition at work over there on the same thing. Besides the jb, this may be your best bet at a bullet proof atty. If they succeed, and can defend themselves in court against the hordes of attorneys sent to stop them, that will be a game changer. I've also noticed that drew from nhaler won a juice box in an auction recently, and I'm wondering if there might be some reverse engineering quietly going on. I'm not implying anything (Love my xhaler, Drew!), he might simply be another enthusiastic vaper dying to try out the next new big thing.

The custom atty in the jb sealed in an epoxy cocoon, for now one of its biggest strengths, may also turn out to be its biggest shortcoming down the road. Let's say it holds out fine for a year or a year and a half, and then fails. What then? Will carlos replace them? If so, what will he charge? Would he have the time to do that, or would he simply expect us to buy another one? This is unknown (but again, I ordered one anyway). I'm sure there are people hard at work in their garages and workshops making box mods that use stock attys for this very reason.

i really like the people building these kits,im going to get a cjb very soon.if a major company built a kit and sold it,i would just build my own.i can just imagine the filth they would put in it ie[big money company].his builds carlos jb look excellent in build quality, you can tell he spent alot of time in this product.as far as longevity i would say it will last along time.

i ride a 1936 ccm bicycle 30 kms a day,the original owner says it must have a couple hundred thousand miles on it. all original, that would be a huge mistake for a bicycle company to build this bike,no repeat customers.:p

The JuiceBox is really made for VG. I mix my 24mi PG based e-liquid with 25% VG and then add flavoring to taste. It's easy with the JB, just drip a couple of drops and taste until its seems right. The vapor production increases alot. I hope this helps.
