Given his distaste for tobacco, I always thought Hitler was a never-smoker.
Today, I have learned that he was a former smoker himself.
As I always thought, SOME ex-smokers are the worst, most rabid anti-smoking (and now, anti-vaping) people.
And I think that is unexcusable. A never smoker has never known about the struggle to quit smoking. He has no idea of what he's talking about. He has that on his side, at least.
Former smokers, who feel so empowered in their newly-found high horse of morality as to actually berate other smokers (If *I* was able to quit cold turkey, so should you, if you *really* wanted to, of if you were not *weak*) disgust me. They have walket that path, but they have forgotten how it was to walk the path.
They perceive other smokers as "weak" because they "cannot", or "will not", achieve the same thing - when market statistics clearly show how innefective NRT's are, for example.
They're just as obnoxious as if Ronaldo, or Messi, started berating their companions for not playing soccer just as good as them - "either you are weak, or you do not take your soccer career seriously - otherwise, you would be playing like me".
