The glass didn't break. I have tried to cement the glass to the base 3 times on both and can't find the right glue. The last glue I used was E6000.

The mini protank 2 does not use glue. Every part of it can be unscrewed and reassembled. I don't know about the rest of the tanks you mentioned.

tanks, blonde :)
It's the Vivi Nova BCC tank.
I know I can just order replacement coils, but I hate to just throw away stuff if there's a way I can salvage it.

This YouTube VID has no verbal instructions, but it was excellent to follow visually. -

You'll need to purchase some good quality 32 gauge Kanthal wire and some 3mm Silica wick also to do your wick/coil rebuilds.

Now!... just to stay SAFE.... :danger:

It is imperative that you test the resistance of your coil before you put power to it.
Do the math using Ohm’s Law, and figure out how much current you are going to draw with that coil.
Know the limitations of your battery and device.
Don’t end up with a Darwin Award, or in the news.

You can 'test' the resistance on your coil rebuild with any Variable Voltage MOD that offers that function. I have a SMOKTech SID that takes the guess work out of this for me... You can view one of those here: SMOKTech SID Ecig Mod Variable Volt & Watt

Also Key: Be certain that Variable Voltage has Short Circuit protection!!!!

There are "other ways" to test resistance, but this is the only one I've personally used, but many people use a multi-meter device... which is "Rocket Science" to me!

Spinfuel has a good article on "Taking the Scary out of Rebuilding coils" that I found really quite indepth and thorough. Worth reading here: http://content.spinfuel.com/taking-the-scary-out-of-rebuildable-atomizers/

Here's a link to the rest of that article on building your first coil you may also find helpful: http://godofsteam.wordpress.com/2013/12/05/getting-started-building-your-first-coil/

If anybody else has some useful resources that they found really helpful to them that you might want to add to help kren out, that would really be awesome.

Hope you found this information useful & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Thanks Blonde, but that is way more work than I wanted to do. I was thinking I could, I dunno, wash them or something. :)

I'm not messing around with semi-electrical engineering builds. I'm a complete luddite in that department and want to stay that way. I'll just order me some new coils.

But the information will help someone, I'm sure of it, and I really appreciate you tracking it down.

Have a great rest-of-weekend!

I've been using 2 Max JK65 BCC tanks for weeks now to test their longevity. No problems whatsoever. While my E-Max Twists are charging I've been using the Vivi Nova BCC tanks. I just gotta say ... these tanks are my new awesome best friends.

I'm with you on this bobalex........ I especially love the Max JK65 bcc's because of their solid piece design... so easy to fill anywhere with positively no leaking for me whatsoever. I get WEEKS of vaping out of coil too. Hands down this is my absolute favorite, at all times, go to bottom coil clearo. :smokie:

Nope. Just my response to a great e-cig kit I've tried recently. Just trying to spread the word about quality products.

Then you've confused me with someone else. I've never heard of, nor written anything, nor made any videos about, elitecig gear.

Well ... not trying to start an argument but ... no it's not. The Emax was designed specifically for MaxVaper. And in my opinion it's the best performing, best value starter kit I've ever tried.

Most of the smokers I've come in contact with are interested in switching over to vaping and some have had bad experiences with the disposable cig-a-like stuff. I try to steer them towards fiddle-free vaping and get them to try a kit that doesn't have a daunting price tag. The Emax kit is a great deal for only 40 bucks. Who knows ... in a year or so if they like vaping maybe they might be lugging around a pricey flashlight-sized mod because everybody who gets into vaping eventually tries out everything. But at the beginning you gotta have a simple, easy to use, affordable kit in order to successfully transition over from cigarettes. I think the Emax fills the bill.

Not all have to have the standard ego type kit. I met a kid in the B&M yesterday. He bought his first "kit" the day before yesterday, an Itazte VTR with a Protank 2. Put his last cig out and came back yesterday and bought a gun metal Vamo 5 while seriously eyeballin 2 mech mods. The more experience the sales people get the better they are getting about sellin "upgrades" to first time customers. I think this is a trend maybe and the ego kits may become viewed more like the cigalikes. Already more VV batteries are being sold to first timers. I look to see more kits with vv batteries standard. Double kits with VV/VW batteries and better tanks :)

Those JK65's look identical to the SMOK EBC's, except the SMOK's are less than $3 a piece. One solid piece of plastic, completely transparent (or you can get colors). They vape as well as my PT2 mini. If you want a cheap "go to" clearo, I highly highly recommend the SMOK EBC's. Smok Tech EBC Bottom coil tank

The SMOK EBC's are 1.8ohms... those are too low for my liking. The JK65's are 2.5 ohms which I much prefer.

On closer inspection, JK65's are molded differently and hold 2ml of liquid in addition to being 2.5 ohm, so they're not identical. :vapor:

NEW KITS and GEAR!!!!! (Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it did!!!!)

MV Fans, you've GOT to try the NEW E-MAX V2 CLEAR TANK! You'll really "taste your Juice" with this one.

I threw together a YouTube VIDEO and hope it's helpful. I'm going to do a Video tomorrow about how to refill the Tanks for those of you who may need a little help in that area ;)

Now, bear in mind, I do these Videos to be 'helpful' and I do these without consent from MV.... so, with that being said.... From time to time, I make little boo boos and mistakes that I don't catch right away.. SO! please don't hold MV responsible for my boo-boos... K?

BEST eCig STARTER KIT for UNDER $50.00! The E-Max!!!! - YouTube

If you enjoyed the VID and would like to purchase the E-MAX V2 CLEAR TANK KIT Starter Kit at $44.95, Here's the LINK: NEW E-MAX V2 CLEAR TANK KIT

This whole thread was 26 pages of circle jerking about rebranded oakley technology kits. Horribly rebranded. blondeambition3 I ask you to disprove this statement. I wholeheartedly believe you and bobalex are connected to "maxvaper" and are using the incorrect forum to peddle your wares in a very dishonest way. Also, some of the statements you both made have me questioning your registration dates and device usage.

This thread has blown way out of proportion, and while I'm convinced the MaxVaper (OAKLEY TECHNOLOGY) kits are not a sham, to call them the best starter kits and continuously advertise to a forum of new users is devious. On second thought if these are oakley batteries you will have one of the very best ego style batteries possible. I still think you're devious.

Anyway here's my input on the kit.

I'd rather start a friend off with a single 650 Oakley passthrough with a glass protank mini at 2.5 ohms. No disassembly for charging and you'd have a glass tank with extra heads for under $30 shipped. Cheaper if you know where to look. You wont have to worry about special chargers since it uses standard micro usb. You wont have a bulky kit to carry around and if you're like me you'd always have to access to micro usb charging. The 650 will last you about a day if you're a light smoker and use standard resistance atomizers. None of this 1.5ohm @ 4.2v for n00bs. The biggest benifit to ego style batteries are size. The passthrough adds ease of use to a nice sized device.

FTR My everyday vape is a kicked 18350 nemesis with kayfun running at 1.5ohms. Its runtime is about the same as a 1100mah ego in a nicer, shorter, package. When I think the mech mod is going to be too heavy for what I need I'll just go for my day 1 complete kanger evod. Its nice for weddings, social events, and unfamiliar territory. No wizards wands for this vaper!

for a few extra bucks, id just buy a spinner or twist. why mess with fixed voltage anything?

I recommend the passthrough mostly because noobs forget to charge batteries, secondly I've heard too many people saying things about burnt taste yada yada yada. "Oh hey that 4.2 mark I told you to never go over... yeah its on 4.8....."The average newbie just wants something that works. The spinner is VW right? Ima look into those soon because I gotta bulk order some more kits for friends/relatives, but honestly most of my older customers(?) just stick with either 2x 650 joyetechs or 1x 650 passthrough joyetech that I got for them. Not even all of my younger friends wants to move into VV/VW because its just too much. You gotta remember there are millions of people who vape that would still kill for a fully functioning cig-a-like.

Me too. I hate getting surprised when the battery goes blinky without any warning.

What more do you need to know? I'm out of info.

I really am impressed with the Emax. I spent 2-3 days vaping the Emax exclusively in preparation for a new video review. And I still use it at night when I'm reading in bed. A great little e-cig. Lately when people ask my advice on a starter kit I point them in MaxVaper's direction.

I thought back to March 3rd 2010 when I spent $39.95 on an 808 starter kit. 2 batts, a USB charger, a 5-pack of cartos, and a 10ml bottle of Marlboro. Within days I ordered a wall-charger, a couple of more batts, a PCC, more cartos, and definitely more juice. And then I was able to quit smoking.

Three and a half years later ... for the same $39.95 ... a noob can get over twice the battery ... a couple of tanks that are completely hassle free when compared to cartos and last weeks and weeks longer ... a wall-charger that charges batts better/faster/more conveniently than a computer ... a bottle of juice ... and a carrying case. For $39.95! They're set. All anybody needs down the road are more coils and juice. So it occurred to me ... this is The Best Starter Kit Ever. Because it's not just a starter kit ... it's a great e-cig package that people can stay with.

i just want to say i agree wholeheartedly, i have about the same startter history w/e-cigs from smokeless image as you, and now for the last year i have been doing ego system and really like it and so do the newbies ive turned on to the ego systems w/the ce5 rebuldiable clearomizer.

just variable voltage, but by changing the coil resistence and changing voltage, you are changing wattage, just not with a dial.

i love this kit and im a total noob. i hear complaints about not havng the right kind of draw from set voltages or lower voltage e cigs.with these, you can find the spot right for you. i did toast my first coil though by wailing on it at 4.8 volts haha. i find 3.8-4 with a 2.2 kanger coil just perfect for my taste, but two analog smokers i let try it preferred it lower, like 3.2-3.4. so taste varies quite abit, so its nce to have that option imo.
