Running a single coil, 0.37 ohm at about 40-50 watts. Same build, wattage, and usage I use on all my other single cell mods. It's definitely the mod. The run time is less than half of all my others, if not more.

How do you adjust the sleep timeout? Link to instructions would be appreciated. :)

EDIT: yes, latest firmware.

On v6 firmware:
With buttons unlocked, long press the + and - together.

Tap the + repeatedly, until the cursor is on the setup icon (crossed wrench and screwdriver), then press fire to get to that submenu.

Press the fire button until the cursor is on ST, then press the - until it decreases to 2 (minutes).

Long press the fire button to exit out of setup.

I run around 0.4 ohm txp26 kanthal, 34w. My innokin Oceanus gets better runtime (more ml between battery swaps), but for me the p80w is still reasonable

Yeah, mine runs all day at 30w on a 4000maH Sanyo 20700B. I run single coil RDAs. Perfect for me.

Agree with @Zaryk, if running duel coils and higher wattages, your battery life won't be so good on a single battery mod.

I think folks running duel coil RDAs really need a duel battery mod if they expect to get any reasonable battery life. I stick to single coilers. May try a duel coil RDA once I get my hands on a Basium.

I just get a REALLY good vape from single coilers though. No reason to use duel for me.
Dual .

Sorry, couldn't help it . I was just cleaning it and it went off. I told myself not to but it didn't work .

You know in all honesty, I've never used the refill bottles with any of my mods. I find the Pulse 80w relatively easy without it. The bottle goes in/out easily and really no mess.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but using refill bottles makes me nervous about forcing juice into the mod if the 510 leaks. If the 510 leaks any, I would suspect it would be minimal leaking into the mod if you are filling the bottle off the mod. Esentially, you are just pushing juice up to the atty (minimal pressure).

If you are filling from the top, you are forcing juice INTO the 510 and down into the bottle. Wouldn't this aggravate leaking juice into the mod if the 510 begins to leak at some point?

If you are afraid of your 510 leaking through a 510 refill, then you have the same problem when squonking. As you are asking juice to travel threw the same 510 connection. So what is the difference?

A hint on locking the +/-. I've found it simplest to purposely set it to "1" less than the desired power (or temp?), then press and hold the +, followed closely by pressing and holding the fire button. Otherwise I've had a tendenccy to accidentally boost power by 1 when trying to lock.

I did pass a note to Tony about VV possibly disabling the "auto-power-set" when power buttons are locked. I like to run power locked stealth mode, it would be nice to not have to remember to hit the - button after doing a 510 refill.

Just hit the fire button first and quickly press and hold the + button. As soon as you press the + button the mod will stop firing and go into lock mode without changing the wattage or temperature setting.

The past few days, I've been running my 80W with the Nudge 24. It has dual SS316L single round wire 2.75mm coils for a total build resistance of 0.33. I'm using the Vapcell Gold 20700 or Samsung 30Q 18650. Battery (charge) life isn't excellent but it doesn't suck, either.

I'm using TC and it settles in between 35 and 40 Watts with temp set to 450-ish F. The cloud is thick, rich goodness.

I get better charge life out of a Wasp or a Pulse or Nudge 22 with a single coil, or a single coil in my Pulse 24. But it's really not by much because I just don't get the same flavor out of single wire single coils. So I use either 26/36 Clapton or 28x2 twisted for a bit more surface area.

Just got my pulse today (first squonk mod and first RDA...the Recurve).

Anyway, my shop didn't have the colour I was after (Seaweed Green resin), so just went with the silver carbon fibre...

That said, has Vandy Vape released the panels separately?? I'm seeing conflicting info online and, so, confusion. Thanks.

Check out All Star Customs on FB they make custom pannels for the Pulse 80W - $35 with a matching drip tip.

It is a Facebook Group so there will be a wait.

Weird. Had the seaweed green panels sitting in my Fasttech cart waiting for them to restock. These, along with a another 1 or 2 of the resins have since been marked discontinued???? Vandy Vape doesn't even list the 80w panels on their site, so....?

And...stupid question time: I assume any 510 refill bottles are compatible with the 80w? About to order a couple, but they are marked for the original Pulse BF. Can't imagine any difference, but doing my due diligence...

Any refill bottle should work just fine. Some folks like one more than others, but as long as it's a 510 refill bottle, you'll be fine.

If the bottle you mention are Vandy Vape brand, those were released with the Pulse 80w, but they will work on any squonk mod.

I'd suggest any refill bottle that has some kind of insulator on it .

anyone having this problem ? when battery getting 3.5v power seem reduce, i can feel as vape performance feel different ....
No sir, I've run mine all the way down until it refuses to fire a few times, and it works fine until the last puff or two. If I let it sit for a minute, I can pull another drag from it, but it's weaker then.

I believe mine runs down to 3.35V when I get the check battery, and it fires normally until that point. Not 100% sure, but I think it was 3.35V.

Now, I'm only running at 30w, maybe it's wattage related? In DJLSB's review, he said it provided full wattage until battery cutoff. Perhaps the newer firmware has an issue with this?

What battery are you using? How many watts are you running?

If you are running higher wattage, the battery may not be able to hold up as long and cause it to hit weak. Also, if you are using a lower amp battery, you may be getting weak hits early even at mid range wattage.

How old is the battery? Could be battery sag under load. As the battery ages the internal resistance increases decreasing efficiency.

i'm using sanyo 20700a n 40t which is pretty new, i use both battery with pico sq2 have no similar issue.
vaping at 55w 0.26 dual clapton coil ohms ....... lowest point it go is 3.19v.

The 40T is a 21700, and the pulse doesn't accept those. Did you modify it to fit them?

u can push in 21700 to any pulse 80w without MOD, push from negative side first than positive will slide in ....
btw without modify, squonk side door won't be 100% flat but thanks to pulse strong magnet, u can't really see or feel it ....
