Having just seen the new provari update I can't help but think meh I exclusively use provaris a mini and a full size but having seen the 2.5 update I can't help but think they have let the crown slip now sure the provari is accurate as hell and provided the origional inspiration for the first terminator film in terms of toughness but is that enough now I could go out tommorow and buy a whole variety of mods that do the same as a provari now and more with developments such a vv and vw I was hoping that provari was going to wow us again and show us exactly why they hold the crown of best mod it's taken them months to get to this ehem update so it's safe to assume that it will take them months to get to the next one and who knows what will have come out by then what do you guys think

I was seriously considering the zmax, untill i saw a review by pbrusardo on one rig or another, and someone asked him if he preferred vv or vw and he said either way he still changes both depending on the juice time of day etc. Do you set your zmax and never change the wattage, or do you fiddle with it some?

I thought you guys were happy with being able to "drop on concrete" or " I ran over it and it's fine!". I don't think they need to increase function, they sell most by peer-pressure and vanity.

It's not a modders' mod.

Who said we wasn't my point was there lagging behind technically speaking not build quality they are still miles away from the competition in that regard throw a zmax evic vamo ggts pick it up and tell me if it works ( if you can stop crying over your scuffed ggts )

I just ordered a VAMO to see what all the hype is about with VW. I have been happily vaping VV for just over a year and dont mess with my settings very often since I use the same juice and cartos most of the time. I did pick up some new juice last week and played around with the voltage to see if it improved the flavor, and it did I found I liked .1-.2v less on the new juice.

Its not a suprise to me because Provape has answered an ecf member's e-mail and told him that no VW provari would be in the works for at least another year, and that was only a couple months ago now. They said that they would be working on new tank systems and new limited edition asthetics such as the new engraved caps and now the 2.5 casing for this period/year.

So I knew & KNOW not to look for a VW provari for at least a good while. In my opinion, the Provari is still the best mod on the market when your comparing features. NO it doesn't have variable wattage but when compared to any other mod it does have the best MANUFACTURER'S warranty, it CAN be sent in to fix ANYTHING that has broken on it and there IS a list of prices on the site for repairs to different things having broken.... NO mod vv/vw has that.. and it DOES have MORE safety features than every single other mod on the market to date. I'm sure the new variable wattage is a goal but provape might be working on a game-changer tank system to go with it, FIRST. (perhaps one that they will be able to mass-produce?)

There is a bright future in Provari's and provape products, trust me. Don't discount them just because they don't have a VW device. Most of the people that are willing to spend nearly $200 on a device are already the type of vapers that know that VW is not a necessity and it can be a bit gimicky when you know how to use VV as it is.

I would tend to agree that VV is enough for most. Unless you are changing devises/resistance often VW offers little advantage, on paper at least. I'am curious about these new VW mods which is why I decided to try one.

What is it about the ProV that drives such dislike though? Is it just that so many owners really like theirs, or is it fueled by PV envy?

First I want to say I am not a provari hater. That being said, to me its just like the Iphone. They keep coming out with new models but not much has changed. Living off the past. I want to see vw. Give me something. I have a young june that performs flawlessly. Its not envey with me, I recently chose a Legacy mini with a kick over the provari mini.

Don't get me wrong I love my provari and can't see myself using any other mod unless somthing drastic changes in the market but I can't help that feel that they have dropped the ball of this one maybe my expectations were so high and believe me I understand why they are the market leaders but I would have thought vv vw would have been the minimum upgrade I don't hold much interest in vw myself vv is far more accurate once you know the maths to work it out maybe they are the ones who can swing the first vari temp maybe partnered with zen who they have good relations with

??? how was anyones expectations dashed? they didn't even advertize an update? this is just something they did for us, a new skin to choose from. Like the PS3 super slim over the slim? Why would you be upset, you don't have to buy it. If they sell the original look side by side with this new look, no ones feelings should be hurt lol. Its not like they promised us Variable Wattage and gave us a new look instead. They promised us nothing and they've already told us VW isn't coming for a while. They are working on looks and new e-liquid systems, not new chips and technologies.

i think its because they arent sure why the fanboys don't like their device and won't give anything else a fair shake also.
i use the same tanks all day everyday and hardly switch. bought a vamo to try vw and it does nothing for me at all if i never change the device. now the chrome wore off and it sits in a box.
While I love my ProV's i try not to soapbox about them, i wouldnt expect every person to want to play my model of guitars so why should i try to rub everyone into using my choice of PV? i will suggest them because of the customer service and repairability but i try not to fall into the they are the best the rest sucks trap, to each his own.

but i will say the most confusing thing to me is so many people complain about the pro v being outdated and left behind for the price because it lacks certain features but people will pay 350 bucks for a mech that does nothing at all not evenkeep voltage constante over the battery life, in effect, because it's pretty.
to each his own though and choice makes the world go round.

I agree with the above statement... Its called the price of machining. Super T puts out mods with NO chips, NO nothing... For the same price as the provari. WHY are the Super T devices, and the Provaris in the same price range? because they are machined and made in the united states with united states customer service, united states reliability, united states quality control, united states repair-ability, united states warranty, united states craftsmanship, united states everything.

Never said they did advertise a upgrade but by saying v2.5 implies a upgrade has been made a engraved logo ( whilst very nice ) and a few lines engraved shouldn't be advertised as v2.5 less idiots such as myself apparently will assume its a upgrade device especially when they announce PROVARI V2.5 on Facebook and nothing more
