oh yummy!! Love those off the vine, and the grape maters. So sweet!!

Howdy F2V, not that I know of, but I don't keep up on it. Maybe Bamrz or someone will chime in on that
Was thinking about another BB, but am waiting to hear/read what the updates are before buying (just in case I can't live without it). :(
I am watching with one eye closed. I like change but I am nervous of what it might be. :p
I definitely agree with this!

love love love the copper plates on mine. Right now letting it get some patina, to see how I like that, and if not, I'll polish em up!

We are in the process of making some more wood panels for them. Still needs some sanding and another couple of coats.

It's actually an Australian timber called mallee (from the roots) They grow in swampy areas by the side of our rivers. It's normally just scrappy root wood that people burn in their fireplaces (us included) but we open them up and take some good bits of burl out of them. Very hard wood and doesn't take stain very well but still some beautiful swirls.

You have to applaud anyone that works with this mallee wood. It's really tough on tools and blades but the results can be spectacular. It's also really stable so finishes last for ages.

We pretty much only work with local woods that we pickup from our local area while we are out walking, makes them a bit unstable but interesting.

I loved the red mallee's that were for sale, but I did not even try for it because the way everyone was raving about them, I think there were 2 of them, not sure. I had 4 I was going to try for and ended up with one of them, a Purple Heart with a maple burl door. It was my prize, and still is. :)

purple heart with a maple birdseye door was my fav. I was thinking there was 1 red mallee, but I'm likely wrong. I know the person that got the one I am thinking of, decided to sell it, and we all know the sweetheart that ended up getting it.
