The IKV guy is Ikenvape. 5cardstud is our unofficial liaison for all things fillerless karto. (He is not affiliated but has the most experience in the fillerless department.) As far as we know now, there's just a bit of a question mark as to when (if ever) they'll be available again. Sorry, I'm pretty sure that's not what you wanted to hear. Perhaps the Studded One will shed more lite.
I figure it this way. The simple, easy way these are made and to use is a plus. There's all kinds of mods out there with dna and charging sockets that go bad, buttons that go bad, etc. I would keep them as they are if I were you. The plating thing wouldn't be good either because of the slide on the lid. it would wear off on the slide and then you would have a loose lid. Just my
I was thinking something simple, similar to the battery checker that comes in the case with the new Innokin SVD 2.0. Could see that as being helpful for some of us

I can see a possibility of using something like guncoat on it (basically a spraypaint that you bake in your oven to cure). You would have to be REALLY careful with your masking though
When I first started vaping I was absolutely paranoid about batteries running down and I would switched them out just in case. Once you get into a rhythm with a particular device you understand how long your batteries run in the mode you are vaping. I never check them anymore I just know how many I use a day and have a standard time of changeover regardless of whether they need it.
I agree this was very fun! I have 2 BB's so I am good, I still want more though. The one I really want is the Navel Brass Flipper, that thing was very cool. I don't care if it was $600.00 or something, I would starve my self for 3 months to get one.
Seriously you guys are allowed to carry stun guns. Wow. Even pepper spray is a bit iffy here. Most dangerous thing in my handbag is my makeup bag.

Just thought I'd add, that if you want to skip an ad or go to a certain part of the video........ wait til the video gets to where you want it to be....... click pause. Right click on the video itself, not the url. And click something like, embed this video at it's current time. A box will pop up with a highlighted url in it. copy that, and then paste it where Uncle said. After nearly 3 years, I just learned how to do this a few weeks ago! One day I'll actually investigate photo bucket, and find out where to get royalty free pics.
I'm the opposite. And although after 3 mo. I'm starting to get a bad taste from my carto it beats my bridge habds down. I have the Bridge in my other tank and switch them a couple times but everytime after a couple puffs I switch back. I can't get regular cartos to work worth a darn but this fillerless is wonderful.
Now I know what happened to my brain. Must of had a Recluse crawl in through my ear or nose and bite my brain. I seem to be missing parts.
hehehe if I can remember it, I'm gonna have to borrow that about the recluse eatin my brain.
I am very intrigued by these fillerless ways to use a BB and Krisma's way to use a BVC. I have to be honest, and hope DD doesn't kick me out. I had been looking at BB's a few weeks ago, but I somehow thought they were bottom feeders. I've never used a carto tank, but hated the filler cartos when I first started vaping. Folks say carto tanks are better than just using a carto, but I couldn't get to clearos quick enough. It almost made me give up on vaping. But I love how simple the BB is, and how sturdy. So in playing this game/reading this thread, I was happy to learn there were other ways to use it than with a filler carto. However, now I'm not going to win one.......sooooooo it's a mute point lol But maybe one day.
For me I never win games of chance or drawings so I never look to win but I DO have one great time playing and if you think about it that makes us all winners as playing is the prize.
I always said the same thing, but I actually won quite a few things on here when I first started vaping. Good thing too, cuz I had NO money to buy stuff. I got to try some things, and juices that I wouldn't have been able to try otherwise. I'd probably still be on an Ego 1100 mah and a very unhappy vaper if I hadn't won some things. That being said, I still love to play in fun contests whether I win or not.
Grabbin all the Sailor Jerry's rum, LeRoux triple sec and checking to see if there are any hidden bottles of Drambuie. lol DD said he'd sure let us hit ourselves. That sounds like something I'd do.

so sorry it took me so long to fire.......I've been good about doing it early, but I'd signed on earlier to update my board and fire, when my son called, and said he was going to come get me so I could stay at his house tonite. They are staying at his wife's parent's house. So.....I got the heat cranked up and I am WARM!!!! lol just in time too, we had a big rainstorm come in. Didn't last long, but it sure made it cold!
I would say I will make sure to do better about firing sooner, especially since the pace will pick up soon, but it will be a moot point soon.

Honestly? At the moment I have the EXACT same juice in a cartotank -- a Smok UDCT -- and one of my Kayfuns, so last night I did a test. Puffed from one, then the other; waited a few minutes, did it again. I couldn't tell one LICK of difference except for one thing -- the airflow. I have my KFL+'s airflow closed off almost entirely, but it's still a fairly airy vape -- to me, since I like cartos and cartotanks. But that was the ONLY difference I could detect. Otherwise, for the flavor, it was exactly the same.
He was too. I like the Ravens too, for a very strange reason -- I'm a "font geek." They have the coolest italic font on their jerseys, rather than the traditional block or stencil type. And I love purple.
I've never been a big Ravens fan, but mostly cuz I really don't like birds (little bird and silver dove excepted) and Ravens are really creepy birds. I blame Poe. lol I don't have anything against them other than that they beat my dolphins again!! But then, so does nearly everyone else.
I can imagine that cartos would be much better in a tank than just using them, but oh my goodness those were bad. My first order of vape stuff, was 2 - 1100 mah egos some boge cartos, some emdcc's (which I still have two boxes of, only used one). and some 3ml samples of some juice, most of which I didn't like. I started playing with my starter kit, and realized I hadn't had a cigarette in 4 hrs!!! that was something, and I wasn't willing to give up that 4 hrs, so just decided I wouldn't smoke. I did ok til day 4, when suddenly everything tasted horrible.......AND I broke one of my batteries. and I had a total meltdown!! A good friend put an older ego batt he would never use again in the mail to me lickety split, and I managed to get through til I got that. Had to wrap tape around the rubber whistle tip of the emdcc cuz the rubber stuff was giving me an allergic reaction or something. Lips got all puffy etc. Stuff folks pay good money to get from the Dr but I didn't like it. But I had put the last of my juice in the emdcc, so that was all I had. lol I was a mess til I got a clearo and some more juice, but I made it through! that day 4 I did actually light a cig, but it was horrible too so I put it out after a few puffs. I'd have never made it though without some stuff I won and some great friends here (who were nearly strangers at that point) but have since become good friends, helping me through, talking me down etc. Sadly we lost the friend who sent me the batt to cancer awhile back, but I still have the batt and will never part with it.

I hope you do get a B Box some day. I limped along with kartos in mine for quite a long time, but then I discovered the slotted kartos.... and they worked well! Since then, most of us have started using the Aspire BVCs with a Billet Bridge, and in my (not so) humble opinion, it put the kartos (for the most part) back in the drawer. Having said that, I do have a karto in one of my B Boxes and it's performing perfectly. So I will kontinue to use both, for now. I think that when the day comes for you to be a B Boxette, you just might like the BVCs with a B Bridge. We'll be here to find out your thoughts.

Wahoooooo another dolphins fan!!! I can't remember if I talked with someone on here or another thread about being a Dolphins fan. I should tell y'all. I may have a conversation with ya, and a couple days later have no memory of it. I had a minor head injury a number of years back.......but my short term memory is shot. Sometimes I remember stuff, sometimes it's just gone...poof!
hmmmmm there is another Dolphins fan.......and there is someone who puts dolphins on his high end mods........ is that a coinkydink?? lol I'm not a big fan of orange, but gotta love the orange BB with teal drip tip!! I sure wish we'd stuck with our previous colors. better yet........ I wish Miami would have incorporated purple into the colors from the get go! But the aqua/teal and orange are the quintessential beachy colors I reckin.
oh oh oh andddddddd I built my first coil tonite!!! Yes, I know I only wrapped some wire around a screwdriver, and stuck the ends under some screws.....but learnin all this stuff about it....getting the stuff to do it, and actually doing it is a huge deal for me! It came out to 2.5 (was shooting for about 2.0, but didn't have internet access when I was winding it up), so that was pretty close.
I know a kindergartner could have wrapped wire and put it under some screws, and my coil looks like it was a kindergartner did it but I'm still proud of it. Gonna save this one, try to do another one and actually wick the next one if I can get it looking a little better (lighting up better). I gotta get better at wrapping the legs around the screws without deforming the coil. Did the burn and pinch thing, and maybe doing that some more will help.....but for now I'm just happy I did one, and it works! lol I do feel like a bit of an idiot for being this excited about it.......but oh well lol

Thanks Kat. Derrrr I do recall folks talking about the other one having to be closed due to being too big. I was thinking it was a main thread vs a contest thread, but reckin this is the main thread now. I can be a bit slow sometimes, but I get there eventually hehehe
I do love to do crafts, particularly stamping, and I'll tinker at that all day (or did before I put all my stuff in storage), but when it comes to mechanical/electronic stuff....I'm not much of a tinkerer. So dunno that I'll ever love doing coils, but if I can get them working, I'll sure enjoy saving some $$ and knowing what my wicks are made of. It does seem that it would be much easier if I had a 3rd hand!! lol
Deb: I started wrapping coils to rebuild Kanger and Aspire heads. Don't worry too much about how it looks: worry about if it works! Once you're building coils that work, you'll find that they're getting prettier
