Good morning everyone. I made another little adapter so I could use my elegance tanks just never got around to posting it. It is just a cut down drip tip and it is completely tight and stable. I posted this on AVF. These are small 19mm tanks. Would be better with larger tanks. I was going to shave down the drip tip but I moved on to making something else.

Quote: I made a new little adapter from a cutdown driptip that fits inside the carto tube and holds snugly to the coil head. After vaping with it for a couple of days I can take the top cap off without moving the coil head connection. Result no flooding

It does displace some Eliquid but is very easy to refill.

Finally all put together

LOL! How funny is THAT! ck, your designation made me a bit nuts too! I had NO CLUE what that was. I completely forgot the Sabot was the DDD!

Dear Doofus Darling!!!

Andy, Krisma did a bit of modding and was able to use the coils in a karto tank. I was never quite able to learn her technique (altho I haven't given up the idea, KrisXX!).

If someone invents an adapter, oh boy oh boy oh BOY, sign ME up!!! Poor little karto tanks all sitting here in a row looking sad and sleepy.

Just need to make something like this to use a tank on top of the Billet Box. But it would defeat the purpose of having the tank inside.

That is great. Thanks for posting it. Couldn't you use the carto and adapter inside a bbox tank?

Morning. I also made an extension using the madvapes battery extension. What you also need is a brass screw with the 510 connection threaded on the inside. Else the tank floats around too much. I found I loved the idea but the reality was the tanks were top heavy (even my acrylic ones) and the balance was all wrong. That why I went back to playing with the XX clearomizer/cartomizer :)

Yes but everything I do, I do for my collection of carto tanks. The bb bridge works and has no need for the 510 connection. You can use the connector concept for lots of different coils though. You are not limited to aspire.

I have one of those extensions somewhere. But I have enough mods to use my tanks on so I don't have to use the bbox and defeat the inner tank design.

That's what I mean. Sometimes when I tinker with things, the concepts work but they are no better than what I was trying to improve. Horses for courses. I like the BB as they are with the bridge and they work for my style of vaping, the other love of my vaping are my elegance carto tanks and I keep tinkering with the best way of improving their vapability. :)

I always smile when I see the extra bits that come out for the BB (easy to do with changed pin) but nothing has a 510 connection for use with anything else. So I spend all my time working out how to put a secure 510 thread on the bottom.

I agree 100%.
Speaking of carto tank PVs I was going through my ecig stuff last night and came upon my very first mod. It was the first variable voltage mod made and you had to use a little screwdriver to change the voltage. We've come along way since. Anyway it still works great.

My first VV was an ego twist. :) and we made tanks from poly tube with grommets :) they were a surprisingly good vape and I think older cartos were much better and more consistent. All the improvements are a bit of smoke and mirrors to me. (Remember I fairy vape. Little puffs) I don't need more and for me it has to be easier to fill, consistent and simple. I hate mess so if its messy it's too hard. :)

That tank on there is a newer pyrex tank but I still have parts of the tank you speak of. They were short in those days because the cartos weren't XL or megas. This old girl still puts out enough vapor to keep up with the latest and greatest so I agree on your improvements thought.

I gotta go do some ecig work so I'll be in and out. Have a good one.

Yeah, I'm definitely not interested in putting a tank on top of the BB but possibly retrofitting an aspire coil to work in an old lava tank with the provari.

I have a very large collection of tanks and I love everything about them. Up until the aspire BVC coils I never quite got clearos so carto tanks were fill in the morning and just vape all day. How hard can it be. However the aspire BVC were a game changer (for me anyway) but I didn't like the tanks they go in. I wanted to use all my carto tanks. That's why the tinkering.

Hey DH - did you get the airflow thing figured out yet?

One thing you could try is lining up the tiny air holes in the bottom of your carto so that they are on the left and right, not front and back (hope that makes sense). I'm suggesting that because that's the way the airflow goes in the BB. I should say that I haven't used a carto in my BB yet but it makes a small but notable difference when I do that with the BBridge and a BVC head.

Love the matching tip! Your pretty new BB is stylin'! :)

I had read about that, then promptly forgotten.

Thank you! It works!
