It gets tough to monitor these things.
As a first time buyer I'll give my opinion/mindset.
To set this up I have always admired the quality of BB but was turned off by its limited atomizer abilities. Carto's were out of the question as that was a huge step back in vape quality and flavor. With the introduction of the billet bridge my interest sparked again - it was from a local shop that sold BB clones and swore it was as good as the real thing. Since my first choice is always support the modders first it was out of the question.
Fast forward to the past week, I was again at a local shop (that didn't carry clones thank god) and was able to try one of the workers v3 with a BVC coil. I fell in love! My goal was to get one this week but my hopes went down after reading about how hard it is to get one. This morning I logged into the BB store at 6:30 PST and added the billet bridge, care kit and a pack of BVC heads and WAITED. The some stroke of luck I hit refresh and there were items in stock. 30 seconds later I had a confirmation emailPURE LUCK?
So switching to if this turned into a weekly disappointment I would definitely bought a clone until my search for a real one ended. I don't see the clones as a bad thing because 90% of the people who buy them would never spend 3x the amount on a real one. For the other 10%, they only are using is to satisfy their OCD problem (like mine).
It appears BB only releases 10-15 units a week which most likely is why they have such a supply issue. I'd bet a lot of money that there are plenty of investors out there willing to help with adding capacity and help BB evolve. Once Athea releases their genny carto BB's will even become more sought after. I'd rather see them increase capacity to help with what surely is ahead.
Steady supply = less value to the flippers IMHO.
Hi Rick, and congrats on what I consider a great decision. I've not owned a clon, (intentional) and wouldn't consider one from the little info that's been available on them.
Since the advent of the BVCs in the B Box, I haven't looked back. Welp, ok, once I did attempt a carto again in it, but quickly retired it in favor of the BVC.
I'm very happy for you that you were in the right place and time to get one today! They do seem to be getting more difficult to obtain, as more collectors are appearing, and FB has helped make this device soooooooooooooooo HOT.
BBV, from what I know, produces and releases as many as they can produce and release each week. They are by no means holding any back. The limitations stem from internal availability but the answers to those issues are not so clear cut in terms of simple addition. I know DD of BB and trust that they are fully aware of the current status and are doing all that they can do to bring their product to as many people as they humanly can.
I'm not familiar with the Athea genny carto. Can you tell us more about it?
Hey Rick. Echoing Kat, I do know that are producing to capacity, and their machines are running 24/7, and have been doing so for months. DD of BB (as Kat calls him) is an absolute perfectionist, and won't sell any unit that he does not feel is up to his standards. Pride and integrity as good as anyone in any business.
Given all this, their weekly capacity (all of which are sold each week) is significantly higher than your projection, but I do understand why you might feel that way. I can promise you that it's not the case though.
He's doing everything he can to get them into as many hands as possible. And I hope he takes a break soon.
And Bamrz, you're one of the few that I'd still make time to stalk for, if you ever asked. Do I WANT to? No, I do not. But I would, without hesitation. I know how hard you work and wouldn't be bothered in the least. Just so you know, that's a standing offer.

Think rebuildable genesis in a carto. If you go look Athea's FB page there is a video of them using this in a BB
By no means am I saying anything bad about BB, I respect their product very much. IT says a lot about the brand when people could buy clones and choose to wait it out or buy from flippers. I am very much against flippers but their fuel is limited availability.

I'm glad I have everything I need and don't have to stalk the BB site any more. In a perfect world we wouldn't have any flippers but until supply meets demand there will be those who take advantage of it.

What about reporting ebay flippers to ebay for selling ecigs. That could/would get thier sales pulled or banned? Just a thought.

Get a nice drip tip.....you WILL be impressed with the quality and will probably want a jwrap to protect it. Make sure you lubricate your o rings before installing your bridge, dont vape the tank dry, and keep up with maintaining the sliding door, brass ring, and side rails.
