Oh no..... I got my RPG BB today and was just amazed at how awesome it looks... That is until I put a battery in it with a tank from my other BB -> nothing happens.

So there isn't really much to trouble shoot, right?

batteries, used the same ones from my Ratbald as well as a freshly charged set. Got it to fire once and then nothing.
Atty, I can move the tank from the RPG to the Ratbald and it works fine. Put it back into the RPG and it is a go go. Even replaced the OCC coil, just in case, and same result (works in the Ratbald, not the RPG)

I've twisted the voltage adjustment back and forth several times to see if that would make it work with no luck. Button has the same feel and sound as my working BB.

Do these come DOA ever or am I missing a simple trouble shooting item before requesting a RMA?

Yep, just tried with the stock screws as well as the ohman one I have, etc with no change. I just had that bad feeling when it was all together and hit the fire button and nothing happened.... :(

I will take it into work tomorrow and see if there is + voltage on the 510 base when the button is pressed.

Oh yeah and call them since they have a support number on their website :thumb:.

Sorry, Rick. It's not sounding good :-(

Hey Strings! Nice to see you.

Haven't missed much if you discount all the Facebook aftermarket stuff coming out. Every morning there's a new product, and "X1" ("I want one! ") has become the "Word" of the year.

I hope things are well with you.

Good news, bad news thus far..

The BB is putting out voltage from 4-5volts but still won't fire the atty in the RPG. I took an old carto (long one) and was able to burn the filler right out of it. So this means the electronics work.

Now to figure out why it won't work with the borotank. I'm guessing since I am trying to use a boro and kangaroo it won't be supported so will buy a standard carto to try in the stock tank first. If that doesn't work I would assume it is a tolerance problem. My guess that this point is the atty isn't touching the base thus not firing.

All good news, after a couple minute conversion with BB the RPG is good to vape!

What I had to do was remove the Orange oring. Apparently the oring is mainly for cartos so isn't necessary when running any other configuration.

Because the base of the kanger head is so wide, the oring can cause it not to seat down completely. Great tip for those using anything other than a carto - remove the Orange oring.

Great support from BB and got to learn more about the device.

Rick, good to know that! I just picked up a Kangaroo and boro tank in the classies and am waiting for some 1.2 ohm OCC coils. How did you remove that orange o-ring?

It just pops out, I used a safety pin to snag it. Works much better now ;). All that it does is create a seal when using a carto, it serves no other purpose.

I gotta tell you it is nice to be able to pick up the phone and talk to the creator. Very cool guy.

Heckuva "Support Line", ain't it? None better...

Glad you got it working, and glad DD was able to diagnose quickly. GREAT shots too. Try as I do, I cannot capture the RPG (as you so perfectly managed to do).
I'll keep trying.

Just got the OCC coils and set up the Kangaroo. This kangaroo really kicks it up a notch! Good flavor and much more air compared with
the vertical Sophia and the Billet Bridge/ Aspire, and much more vapor to boot. I'm putting my Billet Boxes back into my daily rotation!
Thanks to all who encouraged me to try the Kangaroo. I'm thrilled it worked out so well!

Happy birthday, DP!
oh sorry I missed your bday DP!!! Seems like it was Tuesday, my son was having surgery that day, so my time here has been sparse. Glad you had a great day!! Son is doing fine, this is the 4th surgery on this issue, none work for very long.

Hiya folks. Been away: have I missed anything interesting?

good to see ya! Hope you're doing great!

Great support from BB and got to learn more about the device.
So glad you were able to get it working and that you got to talk to the creator!!
