Happy New Year, Billet Boxers (sounds like underwear?). And Deb - I can duck a skillet. I've got experience...

Seriously though, to DD, family DD, and EVERYONE here (who've bought me more than a fair share of laughs) - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Debadoodle, I have almost the same conundrum, either blackeyed peas, red beans and rice or pork and sauerkraut.

hehehe I always did black eyed peas and sauerkraut, but the couple years I was living with my SIL, she would do pork and sauerkraut, and that was quite tasty too. Dunno if that's done more up north or not.

Dubble dang it we have been with out electric till tonite. Oh the little things we so don't think about until there gone.

Please tell me y'all had gas heat!! So glad the electricity is back on now.

Then add some fried potatoes with onions and homemade bread.

Jup, well we put the taters in with the sauerkraut and pork, but fried taters with onions are a staple down here. The bread will be homemade, but it'll be cornbread!!

mebbe so, but I've got mad skillet skill......ask anyone on the porch. You'll never see it comin! hehehe

Hope everyone has a wonderful NYE and that 2016 is your best year ever!! If you plan to go out partying.......have fun, but please be safe!! One of my nephews was killed by a drunk driver. I know y'all won't drive impaired, but don't let anyone else do it either! And definitely watch out for others on the road who will be impaired.

Since NO ONE around here sells Mondoro Asti Spumante anymore me and the puppy dog will be ringing in the new year with Dr. Pepper! lol
