I decided to try to build a new coil in my Sophia V2 today, for my BB. The first coil I made with 30Ga Kanthal, and it started out at 2 Ohm's, then for some reason the Ohms started to climb. Ended up putting it in a carto tank, and when I pulled it out, the Ohms were at 5 Ohms, I could not figure that one out, it still looked like a decent coil. This time I built it with 32 Ga Kanthal, and still ended up with Ohms too high, so I took a few wraps off the coil and got a 3 Ohm coil, still too high, but figure what the heck, I 'll try it. I read that Qorax said that building on this thing was easy, but I find that it is the most difficult thing I have ever built on. The 32Ga was easier to work with though on it, and if the Ohm's behave, and It doesn't start leaking, I think I will continue with the 32Ga. I really would like this to work, the flavor and vapor are very good right now at 5 volts, just hope it lasts.

Kas I put mine away. I can build the v1 in a snap of the fingers and I was so klutzy at the v2 At some point I will come back to it and put in the BB but not for now. :(

Yeah, this one really does make the V1 look very easy, but if I could just get the building down on the V2, I think it will work well in the BB, I think it took me a 45 min to build this coil, mainly because I am not used to using the 32 Ga. :glare:

Let me know how it goes. I can't afford to buy right now. But, when I do, I'm wavering between a V2 and another V1. It's gotta be really, really simple for me. As little coordination required as possible.

Well I just let it sit here on my desk with the flow control open, for about a hour & a half, when I went back to mix some juice. It did not leak one drop, the V1 would have been a big mess. It is still to early to judge it, but the coil is still going. I guess at each refill, I will take the coil out and check the OHMs. :)

I just read that again, and these are not, at least for me, simple at all to build.

Looks like it's going to be a V1 then. I hope they keep making the V1. There was nothing wrong with except for having to use NR-R-NR wire. What's the big deal?

Yeah, I think it is because of nr-r-nr wire's, that he came out with the V2, because a lot of people don't like to mess with them and the ceramic cups. people want to build there own coils, with out having to buy the pre-made coils, and a Zapper to join the wires. At least I thinks that is the reason, to give people another choice.

If that's the case...

And it's just for a BB...

And you can put up with the $70 price tag...

The Uno would be the way to go.

The price isn't a problem. In that the Sophia is fairly expensive anyway. And, the Uno does look really good. But, is it only for the BB? Does it not have a 510 connection so that it could be used with other mods too?

Unfortunately, no. No 510. BB only.

I'd buy 2 more if I could get a 510 adapter for use on regular mods.

I am interested in this, even if it is only for the BB, the only question I would have is does he sell, or provide extra parts like the insulators and the pin, it looks like the only extra pieces you would possibly need?

I would think only the insulator would be needed eventually.

@ohman

Bret, can we order extras?

After my post I watched the vid again, and I agree I would just want extra Insulators.

KAS
I should have mentioned there's 3 o-rings. I think for adjusting air flow.

1 is larger. Maybe for a better seal In the tank.

I haven't used them. So outta sight, outta mind.
