As far as the controller goes it's a good one but I find anything mechanical will eventually wear out and there's no moving parts on digital controllers.
kewl on the coils!! Might be wrong, but I think digital chips would fail faster than a dial would wear out.

I got a mechanical vapin sumpthin sumpthin that'll never wear out!!

I'm OK with the displays (heck, I've got enough of them!), but there's something almost "romantic" about the BB dial (with its Roman numerals and all).

I know - that's silly. What can I say.

I agree. I was just saying if changes were made but I love the setup as it is. Mine is still nice and tight.
Another thing is the door. I have to smack mine on the table to get it to open after it been closed for awhile. No biggy It's been like that forever but a magnet would be cool.

Deb I just have a likeness of digital over mechanical but done right (like the BB) they will outlast me.

Just a Q-Tip with alcohol, followed by the same with a dab of olive oil. You'll never smack it again. All edges, slots, and the ball. I do the battery contacts too.

Once per month or two is fine.

I'm not a magnet guy either. They can come loose (and have on me).

I'm beginning to sound like the old guy in the neighborhood, telling all the kids how much better things were when he was a kid, aren't I?

Forget me, DD. Modernize it.

I don't like magnets either but with the Billet Box door being on a track an earth magnet would work great.
I have 3 vapor sharks with magnetic doors and haven't lost a one.

You know how us Italians love olive oil.

I find a little garlic helps too.

WAIT! Sorry. That's the sauce that I'm thinking of. No garlic needed for the BB.

Then call me old fashioned and a romantic, too. I love the DIAL (but he likes it too!). I have no real concerns of it wearing out. I might, but it prolly won't.

I got many coils for one of my tanks.

NOT silly. Not to ME anyway.

That's the ticket-a, Senor. Even once a month with the anodized finish is fine for a cleaning and maintenance schedule.

Yes, we Italiani do love-a our olive oil, and this one, welp-a, she loves-a her alcohol, too.

Dat's amore!!

Seriously, Stud, you should never have to whack anything but occasionally the batteries.

(stop it boys. i can read your thoughts) ;)

Don't get me wrong. I love the Billet Box and it's about the best designed and built box mods available. Mine will still be around long after I'm gone.
Another way you can tell a good pv is every other pvs keep updating their design. the Billet Box stays pretty much the same. There's no upgrade on great.
I was just thinking out loud.

I have done as you suggest. If I have to open it every couple hrs. ya. But if I let it go till the next day I just tip it backwards a whack it on something wood.
They need a Teflon track on each side.

Something's not right then, J5. You should contact DD. The anodized doors should be able to sit for months with literally no impact. If it's sticking, something is off with the alignment.

As as one of the few/many who ended up with a stuck door (on the original raw BB), I can assure you that you don't want that to happen. I was lucky in that I was able to remove it without damaging the mod, but many people ended up damaging theirs in the process.

Do yourself a favor and touch base with him.
