Well I first built 1 coil with the 30 Ga. for my sabot with a horizontal coil, and got a 2.2 OHM coil, it works but the flavor is muted. Then I tried one for the BVC with the long leg made with 30 Ga NR wire, it did not work out the OHM's were to low. Finally I made another one, 12 wraps of 30 GA Kanthal with the NR wire coming right off the top of the coil, to end up with a 2.4 OHM coil, a little high but that will work. I am tired of messing with coils right now, but I want to try one for my sabot next, to see if a vertical coil will improve the flavor on those. :)

gotta hand it to ya for your perseverance! Do you enjoy tinkering with stuff like this, or is it kinda a pain, but ya just gotta get it exactly how ya want it? I'm not a tinkerer. Lemme find something I like, and I'll stick with it for years.

I just want to figure out how to build the original BVC coils as they were originally made, I don't like the new ones and just want to have another option. I tried the coil that I made last night, I still have some work to do, the wick is blocking the air flow, but at least I know now how to build the coils. :)

After some searching I think the ceramic paper I am looking for is also called kiln paper.

KAS

i looked and looked and couldnt find the 1/4 inch wide 50ft roll of the exzact same looking stuff we take out of the aspire/nautilus coils...dangit i wish id have book marked it.i tried but this was as close as i came and idk if its the same thing that comes out of an aspire/nauti.

also if you get the old coil out and take the burnt paper off then dryburn it while you have it on the drill bit that fits it you can reuse the factory coils.ive bneen doing it for a few years.i use a pipe cleaner to get the burnt stuff off and it works great.been rewicking the horizontal subtank coils for a while also.

ya just have to clean the inside of where the coil is with a qtip to get the gunk outta there.takes some trial and error but it does work.sorry for the long post.hope this helps ya and yerah you may ruin a few but you will get it right after some trying and its satisfying to get them redone and reuse them for sure!!

I am considering the Kangaroo for my V4.. I have a Billet Bridge right now so can anyone who had had both compare? Basically the same concept but the Kangaroo uses the Kanger OCC coils correct?

The Uno looks sweet but I want simple and got away from rebuilding a while back so it's a Billet Bridge or the Kangaroo.

Thoughts between the 2?

Thanks in advance!

if you need one LMK.they give a more airy vape then the aspire bridge but if you add lil orings to where the pin end is its supossed to slow down the air some.pm if you want.they both work great but ST coils are almost a lunghitter for a BBox...did it for me anyways....opps sorry i didnt read all the way.my mistake...DISREGARD

GT uses teabag paper for this sort of thing

How did you take the BVC coil apart.

the screen is the coolest thing ive heard so far and way easier to mess with then the crimping wadding up the paper does some...errr most of the time.lol.

I have no idea, but there is no way the original stuff, that was in the original BVC coils was toxic.

KAS

Yes, I agree that the stuff in the BVC is not toxic. I just meant that stuff in the link may be.
