Maybe? Possibly? Hopefully!

So... As most know I do NOT like the rev 4 boro... The other day I removed the gasket and gave it and the tank a spa treatment. Let it dry and put it all back together. So far after one whole day and 3 tank fill ups, it's staying in place!

I still want to haz a delrin rev 4 option but I am hopeful the silly gasket stays in place now, for a while at least...

Some further thoughts on the BB4 and Uno:-

• First build of 7 wraps 28 gauge kanthal on a 2.5mm pin (1.2ohms ish), stuffed with more cotton than I thought necessary works great. Usually with rebuildables less is more, but you need enough to fill those giant wick holes. Next time I'll try a 3mm coil so it doesn't feel so tight (although to be fair, it works fine as is)

• If you screw down the top cap too much the DNA reads the coil as either 0.05ohms or switches to temperature mode, which is weird

• Ohman recommended screwing down the ring as tight as possible, he never has a gap. Turns out you need to screw it down ultra tight to make the connection anyway. The remaining gap is quite tiny.

• Ohman recommended that should you feel like you need to reduce the length/gap that you ought grind down the positive pin rather than the tube (why didn't I think of that?!) and that if you mess it up the pin and insulator can be nicked from an Ego One CLR. I don't see a need to any more.

• What a lovely bit of kit. I've been using a Moonraker nano (which I would not recommend) and it puts it to shame for half the price.

Hopefully this is of use to someone. Cheers.

I put the gasket in place starting at the bottom then used a toothpick to gently poke it into place. After that I lubed it and the glass edges up with some juice and slowly, and I mean very slowly, slid the glass on..

Amazingly it stayed this time! My past attempts all failed with the gasket getting all discombobulated as the glass got close to the top of the tank...

Thanks, Raq. My tank is all clean and awaits reinsertion of the gasket -- which I've tried and failed to get done since Monday!

My TMNB has just arrived and the color looks way better in real life than it does in the photos on the BBV site. It's a lot darker (think spruce green), which makes it look significantly classier.

Since I already have a Michaelangelo (orange) and a Donatello (purple), I may eventually complete my ninja turtles lineup with a Raphael (red) and a Leonardo (blue), topping it off with a Master Splinter (rat black, of course!).
