You she see my stepdaughter's Ratblack Rev 3. That thing has hit the pavement more times than I can count, and she even totally annihilated an Ohman tip!

That dayum thing hasn't missed a single fire press. Freaking amazing.

Hi all - Been loving my rev 4 since I got it a few weeks back, but have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to.

I have both the Ohman 'roo and UNO. No issues with the 'roo, but I'm having a hard time with the UNO. The issue is this: After I build/wick and put the boro tank in my box, I tighten the 510 connector down fully. When I say fully, I mean I tighten it down enough so it is fully torqued (lolz), I am not cranking it in like an animal. When I hit the fire button, my resistance is WAY off. Like a .80 coil reads as .03, .01, or sometimes I'm just getting the "shorted" error.

If I back the 510 off maybe 1/4 turn, it will then read the resistance fairly accurately. The issue with this is that I feel like the 510 is not tight enough, and I have had a couple of small leaks from the tank.

I feel stupid asking, but do I NEED to use one of the supplied o'rings that came with the UNO? I thought they were only used to tighten the airflow, not to secure the atty in place. Any insight or help is appreciated. I love the flavor I'm getting from the UNO but also want to be sure I'm using it correctly.

My build is solid, and I have my leads captured correctly, so I'm running out of things to check. This has happened all 3 times I've built the UNO (only had it a week). I'm currently using a spaced 26g Kathal coil, but this also happened with 28g NI200. I thought it was my NI200 build as that was my first build I tried, but now that it is happening with Kanthal I do not think the wire type is the issue.

Your leaks are likely due to not having enough cotton in the channels. Try rewicking. As for the resistance, I know mine jumps around with a new coil, but then settles in after 10-15 minutes of use. You might also try contact coils...why? I am not that technical, but they seem to work well in the UNO.

Thanks for the suggestions, I appreciate it. I'm actually not really having an issue with leaking, just the resistance. I'll try your suggestion on using a contact coil to see if that helps. Unfortunately Bret (Ohman) suggested a couple of things but they did not work. I want to love the UNO because the flavor is great but i'm starting to get frustrated.

Wow really! I did not think he was going to do those again, but why does something like this happen when I am broke. If it was a week from tomorrow I could do it, my cards are maxed out right now, I guess I could get a boro tank.

Good to see you post hun...........really hopin your disability case goes through! I don't recall when you applied. Are you still waiting on your first decision, 2nd, or waiting for the ALJ?

Thanks, my unexpected expenses have been caused by the FDA mostly. I did have to get some tires for my HHR, but most everything else has been e-cig related. I was not planning on this. I might have to transfer funds from savings next month, which I have been trying very hard to not do that.

I'm really hurting for money.

And I've been hurting for time.

The time issue has kept me from customizing one of my BBoxes.

I was planning on striping it down, and having it custom coated to FDE (Flat Dark Earth) and keeping the black carbon fiber and Delrin button as accents.

But, when I saw this:

Well, I had to buy it.

So now, the BBox that was slated for remodel will be going up for sale soon, to recover from this expenditure.

There will be extras, so if y'all know anyone who likes or needs a BBox... :wink:
