I'm not sure if I remember this right......is the reason you don't DIY cuz you don't know of a flavor that tastes like a menthol cig or is that the reason you haven't totally stopped smokin? Cuz I can show you how to DIY stupid simple and it would save you a ton of money, and use a bare minimum of "tools"

Show ME!

There is an easy way and that is to buy the concentrates of pre developed recipes. I am sure there are lots of US vendors but I use T-juice, decadentvapors, mtbaker vapes. Try their eliquids for ones you like, buy the concentrate of it and then just add 15% flavour concentrate to a mix of Nic/PG/VG in the ratio you want.

No messy working through a recipe, all ready blended, smoothed and tweaked.

@HBcorpse Do you happen to remember what size allen wrench you used to loosen these screws? The smallest one that I had was 1.5 mm, and it is smaller than that.:?:

Tonight, I think I found a good solution for the "new black AW's too tight" issue in my Rev-3a's. (I mean, they're really not, but a light slap into my palm won't knock them out...they're not too tight, they're just a little stubborn!)

It DID involve a little surgery, but it works!

A little ribbon, a little "unscrew this and screw it back in", and bingo!
Pops the battery out with no issue!
Tuck the excess between the batteries, and the back-plate slides on/off with no issues!

Took all of 5 minutes!
I honestly don't know why it didn't come from the factory this way!
Hey DD!

Thanks

On the 2.1 ohm BVC's I sit at about 12 watts...

Since I started vaping unflavored PG/VG mix I am getting about 75ml of juice per coil. Before that, with favored juice, I'd get about 30ml per coil..
I use the Nautilus with BVC's at 14.5 watts.

I don't know if he is aware but menthol smokes kill more cells than regular smokes. They are the worst ones and the hardest to quit.

Took me a while to figure it out and I had to get a set of the imperial keys. I switched the screws because I prefer using Phillips head screws when I play around in the BB's. Much easier for me to work with.

I forgot. In some of the BB's the screw for the battery connection is the next key up.

Sorry I couldn't get to answer you question in time!

And of COURSE they're standard size wrenches! These BBoxes were built in MURRICA!!!!

Kas just take a quiet note......when you take the plate off the dial will lift out of the chip. Before removing the plate turn the dial to either minimum or maximum so you know where to click it back on.

While the plate is off its a good time to clean any spilt Eliquid in the ball / spring channel. There is also some sealing goo holding the plate to the box that will need a bit of jiggling to release.

I should have known better, I have what I thought was a complete set of both standard and metric at work, and the only set that I had that was close was the metric. :|

Thanks

Cleaning is the main purpose, of what I want to try to do, my RPG has not fully recovered from its oil bath the other day. I would like to try cleaning it my self, before sending it in. it was weird I used it all weekend with no problems, then on the way to work it just quit. At lunch I put another tank in it, and it worked fine after that.:?:

The first time you dismantle it will be the hardest, if you are going to clean the inside of the button and under the chip...there is a screw using the same Allen key holding the chip to the case. The contact from the chip to the case is on the top edge of the chip. Give that contact a good clean as well. The chip is wired to the battery terminals on the left of the case when you are looking at the internals. Be careful with that connection and you will need to undo that screw as well.

I am not sure how far I will have to go until I get it open, but I think some oil must have gotten into the switch when it was submerged, and is affecting it somehow. I am wondering how dirty it is in there after 2 years of use, this is my oldest BB.

They stay pretty clean from the inside because of the sealing, Eliquid sometimes seeps down past the ball but in your case it could also have seeped down through the button. The solders are very strong so it's probably switch or contact related.

I am definitely going to look into these options. The Pennsylvania vape laws that are hitting soon are stressing me out. Lol

Cuz I can show you how to DIY stupid simple and it would save you a ton of money, and use a bare minimum of "tools"

THANK YOU SO MUCH - For the offer . . .

AND - NO, it is not because I don't know about the "Flavor" of Menthol I like - I DO and that's why it is a major problem - It is what I call a "True Menthol Tobacco" taste . . . Matter of fact, I was very surprised to find out that there are a few flavors that are actually in the Menthol Cigarettes I smoke (Kool) that included Licorice & Chocolate, and also there is High Fructose Corn Syrup too . . . As for the actual type of "Menthol" it is still somewhat elusive - it is not a "Mint"/"Sweet Candy" Taste in any way, shape, or form - more a "compound menthol" with a cool inhale/exhale almost like a Halls Mentholyptus Cough drop (just not as strong) . . . Depending on how much (drops) I add to some E-Liquids I have in a tank - "Menthol Crystal Liquid" & Kolada comes very close thou . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

NOW - The Reason/s for Not DIY - nor Rebuilding coils too . . .

1) When I started "My" Transition into the Word of Vaping - I never ever wanted or do anything more complicated then it would be to walk into the store and purchase a pack of cigarettes . . . AND - Of course that has changed . . .

2) Although, I have been a pretty good cook and made meals for 1-2 individuals, a family meal for 8+ and/or even up to 200-300 people . . . DIY is just way to complicate to "Me", especially since most recipes use % . . . WHAT THE HEY - 1 tsp- 1 oz, etc I understand - percentage of this or that too much for "Me" . . . I even messed-up many a times with different "E-liquids" by just adding a few drops here & there of Menthol/Kolada . . . I Know "My" BAD . . . SO - NOPE NADA NOT HAPPENING ! ! !

3) Although, I do live in a one bedroom apartment and have some space - I DO Not have the storage/work area - nor the freezer space that would be NEEDED for everything . . . Heck, I barely have the space to cook in the kitchen - which is approximately 3' x 6' and only big enough for one person to stand in (ex: on one side of the room there is the stove which is only 28" wide w/a cooking area that 1 lg burner & 3 very small burners, then a standard sink, & 3' counter space - the other side is an apartment size/sm refrigerator and a single door pantry that holds a Microwave Oven & some Dry Goods) . . .
kIFiMJV.gif

I don't know if he is aware but menthol smokes kill more cells than regular smokes.

No, I didn't know that "Menthol" will kill more cells . . . Now - Can Ya' tell "Me" which ones, and more importantly, if it is possible to direct them to specific cells I NEED to kill . . .

They are the worst ones and the hardest to quit.

No truer words were ever spoken . . . ;)
