Yeah I got that much, but no SS wire option on this I guess.

From - https://downloads.evolvapor.com/dna60.pdf

Profiles
The DNA 60 allows you to save and select between eight groups of output settings. Each group of output settings is called a Profile. To switch between profiles, put the DNA 60 into Power Locked mode by pressing and holding both the up and down buttons simultaneously for two seconds. From power locked mode, to cycle between profiles, double click the Up or Down button. To select the displayed profile, press the fire button. The coil material for each Profile can be changed directly on the device for any material that exists in the Materials Repository. To change the currently selected Profile’s material, press the Fire button five times to Lock the device. With the device Locked, hold the Up, Down, and Fire buttons simultaneously for two seconds. Then, use the Up and Down buttons to cycle through materials, when the desired material is displayed press the Fire button to confirm your selection. Evolv recommends setting up one profile for each atomizer that you regularly use with the DNA 60. It is much faster to switch profiles than it is to set up the settings for the atomizer again.

Coil Materials
Each profile contains an output power setting and a maximum temperature setting. These can be adjusted on the device, and will be saved when a different profile is selected. Additionally, the resistance lock setting and value for each atomizer is saved in the profile, which can alleviate temperature inaccuracies stemming from attaching atomizers before they have completely cooled. Many more output settings, including the coil material and preheat settings can be adjusted on a per profile basis using the Escribe PC software.

I'm not sure if the SS material has been loaded onto your BB, but I hope this helps......

So, my joy is short lived: as best as I can tell, before BBV could get there, UPS took my poor precious and delivered it to the wrong street address for a third time. Wrongness abounds.

Don't count on it . . . Just Sayin' . . ;)
So, did I mention I recv'd a Facebook message from BBV saying they had actually picked up my pumpkin on the 14th and a call from UPS apologizing for giving me the wrong information. According to UPS this cluster saga began with them delivering the package to the Post Office as intended and then the Postal Service returning it to UPS the next day, mea culpa, mea culpa...

The dna 40 version is ni only. The dna 60 version has the different wire types you can pick.

Edit beat to the punch...
DNA40 only has the TCR curve for Ni200 on board but it can do many other wires if an appropriate temp offset is used. I use DNA40s (including the BB) with NiFe48 wire for example in temp control mode. Works great!! Dont try SS - it wont work as the TCR is so low and the required temp offset is too large to be anywhere near accurate.

Just getting around to TC on my Rev.4B 40 watt. I have watts set, temp set, but I'm not seeing where to set the wire type. What buttons do I press to get there?
Cant set wire type on DNA40. What wire you using? If its SS, just use it in VW mode as temp control wont work well, or at all. See my post above! If you are using something else (Ti or NiFe30/70/48/Resistherm) I can help you get it set up!!

I'm partial to twisted nickel kanthal which also works well with adjusted temp.....
