Well I just modded mine to work with the 808 cartomizers from ecig Supply ( not sure of the model number )
I drilled a small hole in the side of the 901 connector and it works !

Where did you drill the hole and how about a pic :) I asked hubby about doing that and he said the only way to do it was through the threads and he didn't want to attempt it that way. So please give a visual so I can talk him into do it!

I was thinking about doing that, but I don't want to mark up my wonderful buzz. how many holes did you put in it? and if I booger it up, how much will it cost to get it fixed?

Yeah, what jag said!! Albeit hubby won't mod it if there is a risk of breaking it to the point of sending it back because he doesn't want to live with me while it's gone

That sounds GREAT! I'm half-tempted to ask if you'll let me special order one!

How does it perform? as well/better than with a standard KR8 battery? I've heard a lot of talk about "air-flow" recently... This will be my first battery MOD. I havn't spent this kind of money on an e-cig before, and just want to make sure i'll be happy with it.

I drilled 1 - 0.046" hole in the bottom thread of the connector , I had to file a small flat in the thread and then center punched it ( So the drill does not slip )

I did this with the connector disassembled ! , ( removed the top connector and the internal parts , 3 parts ) then I had to drill a small hole from the top through the delrin spacer on the top side to the side hole to create an airflow path .

I am going to talk to my local machine shop about modifying 25 or so .

I dont suggest you trying this UNLESS you are good with drills etc. it is really easy to scratch the brass .

I have never used a KR 808 battery so I cannot compare it Salt ?
It is working very well for me , the draw might even be too much ? this is something that needs to be tried to know for sure ? the hole could be plugged and then redrilled with a smaller hole I suppose .
I am willing to work with you guys to find the right solution / hole size .

You are talking to the designer/builder so !

If you screw it up ( the top connector ) I can rebuild it for $25 or so ! :toast:

Awesome! Thanks for looking into this for me/us!

I like an easy draw, but not airy per se, with thick clouds (Like a non-filter cigarette). I agree with you though, the draw is hard to explain.

I wonder if it would be easier/cheaper to get some factory battery connectors for the cartos, and fabricate those into the design ??? just a thought, im no engineer ;)

It's been so long since I used a standard KR808 battery I can't remember what it was like. I have had no issues with air draw on the Buzz. Of course I don't use a regular 901 atty so everything I do use requires an adapter. I have no problem with using adapters, doesn't bother me in the least. If you don't use adapters you are limiting yourself and missing out on all the wonderful things you can do with a Buzz. One device to run it all :)

Ok, we're going to pass on that!!!!! I got a new 901-808 adapter and I'm perfectly fine with it! I will leave my Buzz the way it is. If it ain't broke don't fix it :)

Thanks Mike!!!

WW:
Where'd you get your 901-808 adapter from?
I have them , the ones I have right now are long , I have some shorties coming this week I hope ?

I have not tried the 808 connector with an atomizer yet SO I do not know if it will screw up using atomizers .
