I wouldn't bank on that at all - you will probably be nothing but stoked, just like every other 510 carto user with a Buzz has reported. I'm just trying to replicate a very, very specific voltage and airflow combination to match another setup that I'm really used to, thus my nitpicking. Your standard 901 -> 510 adapter will work perfectly.

This is why I hesitate to post my esoteric minutiae musings in these threads!

mix you'll be fine. I love the 510 cartos on the buzz with the adapter. There are a few people on here that use them and like them. Syn is just trying to do something way above normal, not that it is a bad thing, just don't let it throw you off

From all this, I'm getting the feeling I'm not going to be happy with the 901 buzz + 901>510 adapter for my 510 cartos. Guess I'll find out in a few days when it gets here.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. You can always screw the adapter all the way down onto the buzz and slightly loosen the carto in the adapter. It's what I have to do with my Mako midi when I use two 3.0V CR2's in it. There's a little bit of difference in how the center section on it rises up against the adapter that blocks off airflow. For reference, I don't have the same problem with the Buzz and the slotted 901-510 adapter so I personally haven't had to fiddle with it much if at all, the airflow is there for me without a problem.

They are about the same, the slotted connector does NOT require an adapter so it is shorter.

I went with red. I think the silver looks pretty sweet too. I almost went with black, but I'm tired of black PVs, from my 510, eGo, and 016.. all black! I think the red looks pretty sweet with the brass caps (Iron Man!). Almost went with the blue and was going to paint a superman "S" on it, but the blue is a lil lighter than what I was after. Yup, imma geek and give these things thought when ordering lol

Well, I have the black and it looks like it's hard anodized with a med-high gloss. Looks good and hides fingerprints at the same time. I don't know if the silver uses the same process. If it helps, I like the black and 'gold' look, I just wish there were brass atty adapters to keep up the theme with my black cartos.

All the units are type II anodized , all colors.
Type II is machinable , Type III is not , it eats tools.

Mixit , several have gone out Witchway has one , and ?? cant remember right now !

Yuppers, like it a lot. Mine is being made to use through a 302 atty and I'm waiting for hubby to get the hole in the atty right so it's out of commission for now. But it was much better than dripping when I had it on.

Edit... going to get a second dripper for my other PV too so yes I would say I like them

I have a silver one and I didn't think I would like the brass and silver together but it's really sharp. If Mike ever comes out with a purple one I'll have to buy a second one though

I just got samples of the 510 connector for the Buzz , they screwed up the parts BUT the design is good .

I will be ordering them soon.

I've seen brass adapters at some sites but off hand I only remember one of them and that's Vaprlife. They only have 801 to 510 and 801 to 901. I have a 801 connection on my Buzz and use a brass 801 to 510 adapter. I agree the brass adapters looks better than silver.

Dammit, Buzz - you trying to kill me? How am I supposed to just let you come out with a native 510 connector and not convert mine over? I'd love to shave this extra 1/4 inch off and ditch this adapter completely. ;-)
