This is the latest news that has been floating around on the forums about the Nimbus and Bakero wire!!!
Truth about the so called "nimbus" atomizer
There's this debate going on with the Bakero Wire Maker and the Nimbus Atomizer Makers they're bashing each other's brains Funny . First incident happend when Christian Perez was looking for a chimbus (china nimbus) to be used for a review, Which made Jeyps and SaintQuii mad, In fact they were buddies then later on they were telling people that "Bakero Wire" is just any ordinary .22MM Kanthal Flat Wire so people won't be fooled by Christian Perez(in fact there was no proof that bakero was indeed any other wire), Then it all summed up that they sold each other LMAO. Christian Perez ordered 1000 pcs of China Nimbus, and voila turns out everything inside the China Nimbus matches the real one's, Silica insulator was found on top and plastic insulator on bottom minus the positive poles& negative ones that were confirmed brass at stock ( replaced with SS food grade) and laser etching of the SUN & STARS logo in front. -End of Story-

Up to you if you believe it or not! Nimbus 90.00 vs Chimbus 6.00....
Just read it on calivapers. Thought it was pretty interesting. So the chimbus is indeed a nimbus.

Where do I find this "chimbus" for $6.00? I've been wanting a new ultra-low budget dripper.

Nevermind. Please delete this post, I didn't read the rest of the thread.

You can get it at fasttech for $6.00 it is known as the V5, if I'm not mistaken! or the A7 with the brass post.
Either or is a win win! you can also buy the negative/positive post on eBay but I don't know the size... you save lots of money this way and you get what you want, a good performing drippier at around 85% off.

Maybe I'm a fool... I just don't like buying those cheap knockoffs. Doesn't matter if its xactly the same. I'm grateful for the enthusiasm and creativity of people in this incredible industry. If these small-time makers didn't exist, we'd smoke crappy cartos from china. I want to support them. I don't badmouth or blame anyone who buys cheap copies, I just don't want to be one of them. I love my mods and my atomizers and its not just for the vape, its for the principle of the whole thing. I look forward to even further advancements that only talented artisans can bring us.

Every great original will have numerous "clones". It will also definitely not hurt their pockets either(most of the time) because there is always people with the money available to purchase their original versions. It's nearly impossible in 90% of all markets to stop close copies hitting the market, especially in something as simple as ours is. Many people dont have the means to spend alot of money on the originals or they dont want to have to wait for months at a time to get one. If the makers of the more premium items could keep up with the demand for them, then clones wouldnt have a niche for the market. But if they could keep up the demand then inevitably the price for them would drop to as the costs of manufacturing would also go down, bringing the Originals price lower as well.

Easy way to know for sure, does the Chimbus, aka Fasttech V5, have 'spitback' protection? If not, then it's a clone and the Nimbus is original.

Can't tell from any pics I've seen so far whether or not that's the case. I can see that they'd have to polish it, replace all the posts, engrave the logo, and drill out the hole.
