LOL, we are looking for a place in the boonies too. #1 requirement is land, #2 is no neighbors that I can see. The rest are negotiable. 
Personally, Ive never noticed any monster bugs. Bugs, yes. Monsters, no. For the heat... well... I spent two summers in Great Lakes, IL, and I really dont think there is much difference between the two areas. It still gets cold here, just not much snow. I think we got into the teens a few times this winter. Last winter, we went a month, maybe month and a half without touching 20. I think thats why I like it here in the Carolinas. You get a good heat for the summer, good cold for the winter with occational snow, we are three hours from the mountains and 5 hours from the coast. The temps arent too extreme for long, and you have your choice of vacation to run away if you want.

Hey all just checking in from my hiding spot... James my AVP is here today and its not going good.. I guess once you make over 200k you automaticly start "coaching" about items from how to manage everything from crumbs on the breakroom floor to toilet paper procedure. Really talked to me about toilet paper... And I had to listen to it.. I would rather be a hemroid today..

Im close to the Charlotte Metro area. I dunno how to describe it.. its winter!
If I HAD to TRY.... winters are usually mild. Temps kinda roller coaster between 30-40 most of the winter. The coldest I ever remember it getting was 14 this year. But it wasnt that cold for too long. The most snow Ive ever seen here was back in.... '89..? all 18 inches that lasted for less than a week. We didnt get anything more than flurries this year. Last year it snowed three or four times. Our "blizzard" dropped about three inches.
Sounds like a plan and a good one if I may add.
Why is everyone getting new Lavatanks? Did i miss another sale? I think i've given up on even trying to get one. Poo.
On the other hand, i REALLY want a Kick for my SB! Oh, and i think i'm just going to order a big bottle of Cool Aid and another tank from FV. I have a feeling that a sample just isn't going to cut it.
I love board games!! Good to know someone else likes them as well.

Mornin' folks. Friday. Finally.
I just found out that my boss' boss' boss (Regional VP) will be coming to my warehouse next week. If you guys recall, there was a lot of mess that hit the fan back in Feb concerning an over abundance of material on hand here, and it caused a HUGE problem that put a lot of people under the gun here. Since then, Ive trashed, smashed, broken and made THOUSANDS of dollars worth of equipment either dissapear or returned to our national warehouse. When all was said in done, my boss' boss came by and said he was impressed with how I cleaned up and was keeping up with the warehouse. It turns out, my boss' boss (City Director), told his boss (Regional VP) that he was willing to bet that we had the best warehouse in the region and possibly the country. So now I get a big wig visitor...Did I mention that our workloads are picking up? So now, in addition to keeping up with the increase of equipment coming in for new installations, sending back decommisioned equipment, taking care of returns of items not needed, returns for wrong equipment, incoming spares, out going bad spares, and keeping up with our consumable inventory, while STILL getting some time in the field, now I get to clean the warehouse back up for what is, for all intensive purposes, an inspection by our Regional VP. This wont be fun...
FV, you're awesome! I understand that profits are why you started Copper Creek. Taking the hit out of your own pocket for the glass bottles is just another reason we love you.
