No real update on Mrs E's mom. Theyve done more blood work. They are doing an echo this morning. If everything comes back ok, she's going home sometime today.

I don't even know if covering my rosebush will keep it alive. Does anyone have any input on that? There are no buds on it yet, but it is so pretty. My snowball bush (ha) is probably gonna be so confused. Ugh.

James, they'll be checking her cardiac markers on the blood work to see how they're tending. Have they said anything about those?

Cover the roses, if you can, throw a sheet or something over the snowball bush. It snows on our flowers here quite often. Most will be ok, but covering up what you can will certainly help.

Every case is different...don't think you should be making assumptions..
I spent years as a critical care cardiac nurse and still wouldn't..just my

In other news..last night my FA broke down and made that cobbler...I swear I am not gonna lose this weight. I did only eat one piece and I am not gonna have any more But goodness me that stuff was so easy and very very good.

to post the things we need to share with others...along with progress updates
to get love and support from others...
please feel free to post things you're going through there...whether its an illness
or loss of a job or just depressed..

Agreed. If you have mulch, cover over the roots about 6 inches and put burlap over the top of the entire bush. If it's going to be a lot of snow put stakes around it before you cover it with the burlap so the weight of the snow doesn't break any of the branches. If you don't have stakes, and it's going to be a heavy snow make sure when you cover it with burlap, you wrap it pretty tight so the burlap doesn't give the snow any place to settle and break any of the branches.
