Bear spray????
Only spray that is going to be effective against bears is going to be q spray of bullets, from a full auto .50 caliber machine gun, mounted on an armored personel carrier. Anything less is just going to piss him off.

I've had to use bear spray before. I was hiking with my mom's dog and ran into an adult male black bear. Most of them will either turn and run if sprayed in the face, or roll around on the ground holding their face.

Have yet to get that close to a Grizzly... Fingers crossed. Although surprisingly, moose are just as scary. Especially mothers with their babies. Scary stuff..

Thanks for the concern, FV. Actually, a hiker was found up in Yellowstone last month (I live about an hour's drive south of Yellowstone) and they have reason to believe a bear killed him. o.o

That is how I seperate my attys, cause some flavors just stick. Red for heavy flavors, black for things like cinnicide, where you just don't mix a flavor, etc...green for mint, and clear for washable tobacco mixes.

Great tip basscase! Thanks! Now I have a reason to order ALL the mings.

(yes I could have multiquoted, but on 4 hrs sleep after 24 hrs awake I'm lucky I can single quote)

Moose ARE scary! Although I have yet to meet up with one. My husband has though, on our property. :glare: Two cows just meandering their way to the swamp. Fortunately he was smart enough to realize they were moose and stayed away from them. Unlike the out of town guest we had staying with us who thought they were horses.

*damn city slickers*

8-o You be very careful Summerdawn, especially when you have your pooches with you! They have a tendency to piss the bears off and then run them straight back to their owners when they realized they've bit off more than they care to chew!

Good afternoon everyone.

FV, my rsm entry was "dirty oar."

Chips gave me the idea.

You can't have me gloating over having one of each now can you?

Horses? Those are some biiiiig horses, huh? Don't you just love giving biology lessons to visitors? I had a friend come up from Miami recently who has lived there all her life. Had never seen a mountain, let alone snow that comes within 300 feet of the ground without melting. We had her convinced that the Grand Teton was fake... Man-made. Got a good giggle out of that one.

And I'll do my best, Miss Sallie. We're on a short 3-mile hike up Cache Creek, stopping for lunch now. It's pretty close to town and the foliage is sparse, haven't heard of a bear sighting up here in years. But I bring the bear spray anyways. :D

Funny but not funny is right, FV. That sure wouldn't be pretty.

Have fun with the hubby. :D
