I can tell you about mine, VV has some different ones so she can weigh in too.

Reo Grand (I have 2) Sturdy, 6ml bottle and an 18650 battery means I can take off and be gone all day with no worries. The feed system is super simple and I can change a bottle on the fly if need be, just unscrew the old and screw on the new one. To me this is the easiest bottom feeder that I have.

Red Sky Mods (I have 2) Well, 2 feeders and one non. These are some of Brian's earlier works, the Scallywag. 3ml bottle and a 14500 battery. The craftsmanship on these wood mods is amazing, they are very pretty mods. Smaller, with the smaller bottle and battery they are still a great take it out for the day or evening mod. These use a tilt and shoot method which works quite nicely. Not as easy to change the bottle as the Reo as they have a needle feed system vs just a tube through the cap like the Reo.

Monkeyboxx (I have 1) Mine is a variable voltage mod, these are wood. 6 ml bottle and 2 AW16340 stacked batteries. While I love this mod, and it is my go to mod now, I find changing bottles out a pita. This also has a needle feed system. I am looking for the tubing so that I can change the feed system to create the perfect monkeyboxx for me. Tom is no longer doing custom work, but will be posting mods on his website as his new schedule allows.

Vapage (Also 1) This is a new player, the Vmod. This takes a 3ml bottle and a 14500 battery as well. I am just getting to know this one, it is metal and plastic. VV can give you all the info on it. My only gripe so far is that with a 3ml bottle and a LR hybrid I run through the juice too fast. I also have concern about proprietary atomizers. While they are nice, I already lost two of the 6 that I had and they are pricey. So, the jury is still out for me on this one.

So there are the most often used mods here, and the ones that did not get traded or sold. Now if you are interested, I will part with some of them as I only have two hands. LOL

I swear by mine for cleaning attys. If they are super gunky I throw a denture cleaning tablet in there too. Then just rinse, dry and they are good to go. Definitely worth buying and much easier than boiling. Just keep hitting the start button for more cycles until they look good. I usually do it three times, I believe the cycle is 3 minutes. I use distilled water in mine, as we have very hard water here which does create a buildup of it's own.

Here is a trick for that sonic cleaner that my dental wife taught me. I got the same sonic cleaner at meritline that I think most of yall bought too (Thanks Peachy). My wife immediately took it over as her OWN personal jewelry cleaner. I complained....then she told me what they do at the dental office to clean small batches of instrument tips etc. cause the ultrasonic they have at work is massive.

While the wife has the sonic cleaner filled with her jewelry cleaner solution (Don't want that nasty in my attys), she told me to take a lil baggy like you get drip tips in...fill it with whatever (I still use 91% alchohol), and drop your atty in lil baggy, close baggy and then drop lil baggy in sonic cleaner with that other liquid. So now we can clean jewelry and attys at the same time! Same sonic action in the baggy! (In other words, she will clean my attys FOR ME when she does jewelry...win win for me!)

New report I had to share.

So the new to vaping gal started asking me about my favorite juices. I decided to let her try some of my favorites, but didn't tell her what they were, or who they were made by. In the group was Pink Spot, BWB, RAWR, and of course Copper Creek. Sort of like the old Pepsi/Coke challenge. I gave her about 8 different flavors and told her to come back and tell me what she liked the most! The 2 she came back with, were Copper Creek juices!!! Coffee and Sarsaparilla!!

You are doing something right!! ;-)

Down the rabbit hole..
Hey all!..:)
thanks for sharing the vid Richard..your house was very cool as was your wife's Aussie
accent..:)

I'll weigh in on bottomfeeders my faves are wood no metal ones for me especially no Reos!

I have 3 Monkey Boxxes- a mbvv is my favorite..a mb mini that I don't use much cuz I'm not a 3.7v vaper and a Mb Kong which is very big so an at home vape only.

I have 2 Grips- a feeder Grip and my fave a vv feeder Grip and another vv feeder Grip being made.

I also have a Vmod which is an inexpensive little powerhouse! My one exception to 3.7v vaping. Using it with a 1.5 bf hybrid atty gives a lot of vapor and great
flavor. You can buy one for 60.00 using a coupon code.

if you'd like further info on these and how they work feel free to pm me...:thumb:

I've been looking at some bottom feeders recently (
cool_smiley.gif
lol), but I'm just kind of viewing random ones without a good way to compare. I can see some of the folks around Copper Creek seem to have their preference...fill me in~ what do you guys look for in a bottom feeder? Quality obviously, but what else? Batt life, juice capacity, material (wood vs metal), ease or difficulty of use, price? Which ones have you guys picked and why? All I know is I'd like to find something where when I head out the door, I don't have to stop for 5 minutes to load up a case with extra batts, a couple juice bottles, etc etc. You guys are an informed bunch - anyone care to educate me? (I know there are forums for just this stuff.....but I like you guys better :D )

I can weigh in here as well ... I could not have made it without a bottom feeder for sure! The question has been asked a lot lately about which you prefer more, bottom feeding or VV. Having both is the way to go, but if I had to make a choice, it would be bottom feeding FTW!

I have tried -

My #1 spot = Monkeyboxx - I have Mini, standard, VV, and Kong sizes. It is my favorite of all my bottom feeders. Looks of it gives it top spot, VV option with bottom feeding can't be beat, and feel of the nice rounded wood makes it extra comfortable to hold and never put down. I am also a fan of the large catch cup. I am never messy with a Monkey as all the juice has somewhere to go if I go a little crazy with my feeding (which I do often). Prices range from $90, $120, $195, and $225 for the massive VV Kong (my current fav).

My #2 spot = GLV-3 The feeding in this works very well, you have the option to take the tube away from the feeding housing if you want. This is the easiest of all of the options I have tried to change bottles. I love all the color options, and it is also quite comfortable to hold with the finger slots in housing. This is also toughest construction. There is absolustly NO way you could break this thing. I know it has been said all the time, but I really could drop this from anywhere and know it isn't going to break. Biggest complaint I have with this one is the weight. It is heavier than my massive Kong, and I am still getting used to that. I will note that I felt the same about the Provari weight, and I eventually just got used to it. The price on this is the other set back. About $225 for a non-VV mod I think is a little steep, but I have been pretty pleased with it nonetheless!

My #3 - Reo mini. I haven't tried the Grande yet, but I will assume they work about the same. Benefit of this is the fact that it is metal and I don't worry about beating it up. It does have a very nice feeding system and I would say it is slightly easier to change bottles than the Monkey. I don't care for the "square" shape and holding it for too long does tend to be a bit uncomfortable for me. Price is quite nice on the Reo and you can often find them in classy's for about $120 - $130 for the complete set up.

My #4 = Phidias - While being extremely comfortable to hold, I just didn't care for the feeding system. Tilting feed with no catch cup meant that I was constantly making a mess. Very difficult to get used to the feeding and knowing when you had enough of the juice fed. I am constantly trying new juices at different consistancy, so I never got to that perfect feeding technique down. I mainly used carto's on this, but because the shape and feel was so nice, it wasn't a bad vape. These are generally pretty easy to find in the classys and price also pretty good if you wait long enough. I have seen then selling for $120 - $130 recently.

My #5 = Scallywag. Actually I think this would tie with a Phidias. They are both equally comfortable, but no catch cup (I think they may have added a catch cup now, but can't say for sure) and the tilt feed put these as the last feeder that I would reach for. The wood choices are quite beautiful and also very comfortable to hold and you can also get the VV/bottom feed option.

The bottom line is that I would reach for any of the above 5 mods before I would a Provari, or non feeding device. My opinions only of course and I haven't gotten into the tank world enough to know much there. Of course I will be exploring some soon!

Ohhh, I have to add that I have 7 bottom feeders going right now ... and 6 of them are filled with Copper Creek!!!

Good news KT! Maybe she will find a juice that she likes and not smoke anymore.
I've been wondering where you were these days, we haven't seen very much of you. Busy?

Gosh yes, between Mason leaving, kids starting school, and a crazy big deadline at work that had me working 12 - 13 hour days, I hadn't had much "me" time!! LOL Finished the deadline and now have the next 4 days off. I hope to catch up on house chores ... and maybe get a review in!! ;-)
