AMEN... my mustang was constantly in the shop, or required that I fix something on it. The acronym Fix Or Repair Daily was earned legitimately!

However, I do understand that everyone has their own preferences... some people enjoy tinkering with their vehicles! ;)

FV... the mustang and the camaro are relatively comparable cars. The biggest difference in the newer models though, is that the mustang gets a bit more HP and torque per weight while sacrificing handling. That shorter wheel-base has been the Achilles heel for mustangs when you take them out on the street for a very long time. It is also why so many of the state police moved away from using them in their pursuit vehicles because they have a tendency to spin! Once you take them up above about 90 or 100 mph they can not corner under even the best of circumstances. :( The longer wheel-base of the camaros give them a huge edge in the stability and handling areas making them immensely safer and more fun to drive imo.

Yes you read that right... it is perfectly possible to drive 100+ and do so safely despite what your local policeman might say in the matter. ;)

Trivia question: Can anyone tell me the speed where the passing lane stripes on a road appear as a solid line? (Hint: The speed is much higher than you may think!)

It can be debated all day and no one would be right or wrong. Personally, Ive got nothing against Ford, specifically 'Stanks. err.....STANGS!!!... I meant Stangs... :D

I like every Mustang body style until '72(?), then hated them until '99. Then they REALLY got sexy in '05.

When its time to buy a new truck, it will be a Ford. Ive driven Chevy trucks my whole life until I messed up and bought an '01 Ram. Dont EVER buy a Dodge... When I worked for Duke Energy, they gave F250s. I loved that truck. I beat the hell out of it on some of the worst trails you can think of getting to and from cell sites and microwave towers. Never got it stuck. Which is amazing when you consider it had street tires on it. Not even all terrains.

If I could choose between a new Mustang, New Camaro, or my old Camaro.... Id get my old one. She's still my baby. I was born and raised in a Chevy family. Brought up as a Chevy man. But practicallity is swaying me to the darkside.

I don't see any place to screw them into.
Fixed that for ya!

Stretchy, screw the spacers in to the pila so that your batts will fit. You can tighten or back them out as far as you need. Just make sure to put the batts in the correct way. We want you to remain the prettiest. I love my pila, you are going to freak on how fast it charges your batts. Check more often that usual, less than half the time of a standard charger.

Drott: they are picking on Fords.. A little help here....

I have a Hyundai.I love it. It's silver with a black leather interior. The speedometer says it can go 110 mph.I wouldn't know.I don't drive over 60. (Yes that's me) everybody back off.
My sister had a 69 Cougar. She let me drive it once but made me get out when I laid rubber for 2 blocks.

My first car was a 65 mustang fastback and I drove a 65 coupe to work today. Camaros can kiss my a double s!

I like my chevy blazer....when its running

I say we need to play chicken (not the ones at TSC) to settle the Ford/Chevy thing. Like they do on Grease.I'll be Pinky Tuscadero waving the starts flag. (gotta find my pink hot pants) They're here somewhere...I know I still have them. Yep... Got em...
So what cliff are we going to rumble on?? I'm ready.Just need a destination. I'm there....Anyone???

We have 3 Fords here, and the Blazer. I hate the blazer. blech. Mice rain from the headliner while you drive.

Car and Driver test results: stock Mustang blew stock Camaro off the track. Just saying. Read it in a waiting room.... Mustang is lighter, corners better....

Change the points in a 65 stang and then a 69 camaro and then tell me which is easier. Then try the start solenoid etc etc etc

In the '70s it would actually be the mustang that was easier. :(

In the '80s it would be the camaro. To be honest I am not sure as I have not had the opportunity to work on the '60s model camaros... but the late '60s mustangs were not bad to work on and that little 289 engine they put in them rocked!

Answer to the previous trivia question: Approx. 180 mph. :)

For the Ford fans I have done it in a heavily modified Mustang (it's top end was 210 mph) but not in a Camaro. (I do wish I could have seen the look on the cops face when we passed him and he hit his lights and about 1/2 of a mile down the road turned them back off and pulled back off the road to look for other speeders!) :D

I have also done it in a rented Porsche in Germany on their autobahns... but they are typically better drivers than the average driver here in the U.S.:w00t:
