Stretchy, I found how to remove the toolbar. But not sure how to go about removing the malware/virus attached to it without knowing the name of the malware/virus. I also saw several references to not being able to use Smiley Central once MyWebSearch toolbar is removed. I know some of y'all were using some sort of smiley engine. Hoping it isn't that one :blink:

I recommend Smiley Xtra. I've used it for several years and it's never given me any problems.

It's a bird...it's a plane..it's .... FLAP BOYYYYYYYYYY *crowd goes wild*

O.K. so even with stuff going on with Anna.I have managed once again to embarrass myself.
When I got home I noticed Google wasn't my search engine.Apparently I managed (Lord knows how)
to contract a malware virus that overtakes google or whatever search engine that you use.It's called Mywebsearch and it's hell to get off of the computer once it is on there.Evidently it can hide from spybots and stuff like that.I did my part by really screwing up my computer to the point where I had to call in my IT son to fix it.(I do this bi-annually) it's a family event.
So he came over thinking it would be a breeze and he could go back home and watch sports on the T.V. or some such nonsense.
Anyway...He showed up armed with his spywear. About 20 minutes later he hasn't been able to remove the menace Malware but while running diagnostics on my computer he happened onto ahem..shall I say more than a few questionable websites that I had apparently visited.He couldn't resist asking what is multiple .....'s? I of coursed replied more than one cat...He made me go into my office and showed me (no exaggeration) 132 porn websites that I must have uploaded somehow with this malware.Filthy filthy websites. He has tears in his eyes from laughing I have tears in my eyes because I'm so embarrassed and wanting him to go home.I was mortified.
He felt bad because he just didn't go ahead and delete them without showing me.I felt bad because he just didn't go ahead and delete them without showing me.
I still have the malware on my computer.I have tried 3 different removers to no avail.I just wonder what it's uploading behind the scenes.If you happen to notice MYwebsearch anywhere on your computer start looking for the porn it brings with it.It's a terrible virus.

I only liked this post because I think your son is funny. not because you were mortified. I promise.

you and Bamrz got me beat...but not by much..:laugh:
class of '78..:facepalm:

I started smoking when I was 13, but didn't take it up heavily until I was 17. College was just high school with an ashtray (Thank you, Flatliners!).
I quit for 5 years. When I was going through a divorce, my best friend called and asked what she could do to help. I told her to bring me a pack of cigs and a bottle of tequila. 15 minutes later, there she was, and I was hooked again (just on the cigs, not on the tequila!).
Almost a year ago, the new husband told me about two guys he worked with who used E-cigs. They used Buzz Pros, and had quit smoking completely. Thought I'd give it a shot. Went to a local store and picked up a smoke stik, and found ECF 3 weeks later. I had my first mod by June, and the collection has just grown.
Everyone here is so supportive and helpful!!!
