Because you are. I sweep every day and swear I could build another dog from it. They should be bald by now. All their hair is on the floors.

Yup....

We have hardwood everywhere the dogs don't go regularly. We do have carpeting upstairs, but the dogs are rarely there. We've also got some tile and there is vinyl in the kitchen and mudroom. We were trying to make it a dog friendly house. Now I'm wondering if we wouldn't be better off with all hardwood with area rugs. Tile isn't a great choice for us. Our dogs can barely walk on the dry tile. I can only imagine the circus that would ensue during the winter when most of the floors have wet paw prints on them every time the dogs come inside. Grimm kinds splays out his feet and walks like a 100 year old man when he has to walk on the tile.
You should see Ian's Lab! He absolutely hates walking on bare floors! It was so funny when they were staying at DIL's parents' house, he would stand on a throw rug and cry!:lol::lol:

Victor likes brushes, ear cleaning, nail clipping... basically anything that involves touching him. Jake wants to kill me for all of it. He growls through every second of it. And glares at me. Crabby old man. He used to hop right in the tub for his bath, now he stands in the hall in battle stance, you can't make me get in there.... :glare:

LOL! Good one Bamrz!

Bliss, you need to make a second Maynard out of that. Holy cow.

Sallie, dogs trying to take off fast on tile is hilarious. Mine run in place.

I used to love when I waxed the hardwood floors when we lived in VA. I'd crumple up a cig pack and toss it for the cats - great fun!!!

We can't bathe Tessie very often. It's bad for her coat.Maynard doesn't like to get a bath but once we get him started he cooperates. He pays us back by shaking the water off all over us even though he knows he is supposed to wait. Neither one of them mind getting their nails clipped or their ears cleaned, but we have played with their feet since they were small and supposedly that makes a difference.
