It was hot and tiring. I worked 30 hours in two days at the race track.

Your namesake fish is just fine, though she needs to eat a bit more. She seems to be watching her figure and not getting chubby like my namesake fish. James fish seems to be a bit of a piggy.

Janie, what are the ohms in the cartos you're using in the tanks? Are they the same cartos you use not in tanks? If they are the same cartos, I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're not getting the cartos wet enough. You siad you pre-fill and wait 20 minutes but maybe you're not pre-filling enough? If they are different cartos, let us know what omhs you have. We should be able to help you figure out if they'll work on your riva or not. There is no reason they shouldn't if you have the right cartos. There isn't anything about a tank system that would preclude use on any PV as long as the PV can drive the carto.

The one I burnt yesterday was 510 LR XL carto that I got from CC. I don't have a syringe. Should I try to condom fill, or will that just make a mess with the hole punch? When I filled it yesterday, it topped off - so there should have been enough juice in there, but it did not leak out the hole. I let it sit for 20 minutes before I fillled the tank. Oh the juice I have wasted on these three!!!! Grrr. What is an ohm? It doesn't say anywhere on the package or the carto itself.

Our internet has been out since yesterday afternoon. Because someone (CP) plugged the lines in wrong and I didn't figure it out till this morning. Just remember, he is 1 yr away from being a mechanical engineer

But anyway, on to some news..,,,

I PASSED MY TEST!!!
70% required to Pass, Maximum score is 100%

State Law=84%
Written Exam=95%
Practical-99% (wth??!!)

So finally, the stress of that portion of my life is all done. Now, I just have to pay them all the extra money they want and then I will be licensed.

Kealey has a performance at school this afternoon and when that's over I am heading over to the school and getting the paperwork taken care of.

Janie, have you looked in to the Taryn Spin? It is a way to get juice down into your carto. It's really important that you get it filled really well. If you spin it, it forces all the juice down in to the carto. I get about 35 drops or so into a Boge carto and I have never experienced burning filler since I started spinning it. You can use a syringe too, but if you don't have one, this way can work. I take the plug out of the screw end of the carto and then put the condom back on halfway, take the white tip off the mouth piece end, drip juice in (about 8 drops at first) then spin. Just keep repeating, juice will start collecting in the condom and I just squeeze that back on to the top of the carto. Take the condom off and gently blow out the excess. You should be good to go.

You know those cardboard tubes on your hangers from the dry cleaners? I took the hanger apart and slid the tube off. Cut a section of it with a knife and then poked 2 holes in it so I could run a shoe string thru the holes. The carto fits right into the tube and it holds it while you spin. It's not pretty but it's effective. And it's made from stuff you usually have in the house.

I can explain the practical score. when you get a 99%, that means that the person scoring the test is a douche and refuses to give perfect work a perfect score.

That taryn spin sounds like a complete PITA......I'm sure if we thought about it long enough we could come up with more less efficient, time consuming ways to fill a carto.

I haven't had a highly opinionated, a-holeish post in while. I was due.

Janie, an ohm is well... a unit of electrical resistance. Typically high resistance or standard cartos are 3.0 ohm and I doubt your Riva even has the power to burn one of those efficiently. The low resistance are are typically 2.0 ohm. I think most Riva users use the 2.0 ohm. Forget about all that, I still think your problem is most likely related to under filling. I know we're all saying the same thing, and you're probably frustrated because you're not doing anything differently than you've done before, and meanwhile you're going through cartos quicker than my dogs go through treats. But if it is a new type of carto to you it could be the filler material is more dense then what you're used to and will therefore take more juice than you're used to and take longer to make it's way to the bottom. If you don't have a syringe, then go with the taryin spin method. Fill that sucker up with juice! The boge cartos are definitely more dense then the smoktech in my experience and will take more time and more juice to get full.

Ok, so my wife keeps getting headaches and she thinks it's related to vaping. She doesn't vape a ton (mainly around me), but when she does, it's only CC so i know it's good juice. Anyone have any thoughts? Maybe it's an allergy? Is it VG or PG that people are allergic to? Not sure what i should do/try.

Like FV said it is PG that some people can not handle. There are some vapes out there (a few even extremely good, but not many) that are 100% VG based so that would be one avenue to try. I believe that FV uses a mixture of PG and VG in her juices, if she does not then she truly is a witch doctor to defy the laws of physics to get flavors like that that are not too thick for cartomizers!

Another, is that I know that some people get headaches when they get too much or too little nicotine. You might wish to see if your nicotine level is too strong for her! Does she drink soda or alcohol while vaping with you? Both of those could dehydrate her even more which can cause headaches also!
