Ive lost count of how many times I thought today was Saturday. Twice, I found myself wondering why the race wasnt on.

We shot off about $150 of fireworks from the $250 total we had from Saturday. No lost appendages or burns, so it was a pretty good evening. Even let the kids do sparklers and roman candles. Naturally I got yelled at for letting them hold "those things". But its ok. Mrs E still doesnt completely have her voice back.

Now its time for a shower and bed. Im sure I smell like chlorine from the pool, grill from dinner, smoke from fireworks, bug repellant, and just funk from being sweaty for the last two hours. Bleh.

She hasn't started vaping yet, she's only two weeks old. We'll give her another week or so.

Tell Lucy that when she gets bigger I will invite her over for dinner anytime!

A few more weeks before vaping might be wise... How old does a chicken need to be to reach the equivalent of 18?

Mornin' guys and gals. I do NOT feel like being awake, much less at work right now. Why do jerks in the neighborhood feel that just because its July 4th, that makes it ok to shoot fireworks until ONE AM!?!?!?!? We may not be within town limits, but we still have a noise ordinance that goes into effect at 11pm. When 12am rolled around, and they were still shooting them off, I got sick of it and called the sheriff's dept. "We're sorry sir, but we will not be able to get a unit to your area until after 1 o clock." Thanks for the help guys....

Now, I want y'all to understand, that having fireworks going all throughout the night doesnt affect me directly. I can sleep through just about anything. Where I have a problem with it, is that all the noise scares my dog. And she's so old, it doesnt take too much to get her so stressed, she has a seizure. Add that on to the fact it kept waking my kids up, and you have one P.O.'d fat guy on your hands. But thanks to our wonderful men and women in brown and green, there wasnt anything that could be done about it.

Im seriously dragging my .... today... Maybe I'll get lucky and will get to go home soon.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th! I am kinda dragging a little bit, we were on the river till 11.

The carto punches look really cool. My other dad made me a punch that I like, but it's not really portable. I think I will be ordering one of those babies when I place my juice order

No fireworks here until Saturday. There will be a weekend carnival and such in town. Music, food, beer, then fireworks.

Carto punches will be out soon, there is a bit of a problem. Not with the punches, with a person that also makes a punch making some nasty threats. People can be quite mean. I wasn't sure if I should say anything, but I do believe that the truth is important. Hopefully it won't be too ugly.

After 32oz of Diet Dr Pepper, Im finally able to get moving. Ive got a half a dozen tasks in my queue that need to get completed and cleared before I can start putting together a pallet of equipment thats been decomissioned. Funfunfun.

Happy 5th of July everyone! My step-daughters cat LOVED the fireworks last night... this is the first time in her life we were not under extreme drought levels so fireworks were allowed again! She was convinced there were large evil creatures outside that wanted to come in and get her, so she crawled under the dresser and was prepared to fight to the death with anything small enough to crawl in after her!
