I have a question for the posse. How hard is it to sell something in the classifieds? I have a Darwin that is just sitting around collecting dust and was considering selling it. I saw a few comments in this forum of some folks getting ripped off buying a PV from the classifieds and don't want any problems with the transaction. I have never used PayPal yet except to open an account to get verified. Any advise would be appreciated.

I would not call that weird... some of my happiest moments in life have been watching storms at night... we would get tons of heat lightning storms where I grew up as a kid that would be beautiful.

Not EVERYONE has my address. Just most.
I typically do not use paypal with people I do not know often so it is a difficult one for me. In fact I just used it for the first time since 9/11/01 back in May... However, Drott would be the person I would speak to about the best way to go about it. She has bought and sold many items in the classies... and I think Sallie has sold quite a few mods there too.

He was incredibly kind enough to give me a shot at it JD... but I am really hoping to get a new one if they ever get their component sourcing problems resolved. I would like to have it from the start of the warranty so that I have the full warranty cycle if that makes any sense.
We already had a chat. He prefers a brand new one, as it comes with a warranty.

I sold a few items in the classies before I did the supplier thing. Now I am not allowed in there.
What I do know is that a clear picture and good description makes a world of difference. Point out any scratches, etc so people don't get surprised. Just make sure you have the $ before you ship it, and use tracking.

That's the only reason why I actually considered it! I trust punkin, but you have to send it back to replace the battery etc. and from reading about them in their thread they do occasionally need service.
If it is under warranty that is all done for free... afterwards there is a service fee.It was a tough call for me since no new Darwins have been released since the very beginning of the year... but they come with awesome warranties and I look at that as part of the price you pay for them.
P.S. If you haven't figured it out yet I'm cheap... that is why I vape with an eGo and cartomizers still... it saves me most of the money I used to spend on analogs.

The warranty on the Darwin is two years and it is still valid but the battery is only one year. I bought it in April 2011 so it is past the one year mark.
