Some people might think Im mean for it, but thats one reason I make Mrs E cut the grass. I dont do it to be mean. I dont do it because Im lazy. (ok, not JUST because Im lazy). But mainly because it is a great work out that will keep you heart rate up for two hours or so. You can burn roughly 1000 Calories on just the front yard.

Well maybe I should RENT the JD out to the neighbors as they seem to be unable to FIX their riders, then I can work off some poundage with the pushy.

Do we have any space nerds here?

I hope ALL of the Posse members in the NE are going to be safe.... Its going to come close to us, but it looks like a tropical not depression is going to keep the worst of it pushed to the west.

Space nerd, check. Sci-fi addict, check !!

The only one I know of is on Rt 40 just past where 13 splits off. Apparently there's one up Drott's way, but that's probably a lot farther from me.:)

We just had a small storm pass through, dropped a little rain and cooled things off nicely. I do still hear some thunder in the distance though. <reaching for flashlight, keeping it close>

Ahhhh so you know about the 13-40 split. Right in my backyard neighbor.

A ce2 is a clear tube that holds the juice with a silica/cotton wick with a coil. They come in the 808 threading and the more common 510 threading. The Apollo tank, stardust, etc. are all take offs of the original ce2. :2c:

    Thank you.

We're just below the red in GA. Be safe up there. Let us know how you fare when it's over.

Finally passed on, power was in/out more that I would like with all the electronics. JUST in time for Falling Skies on TNT, so WHEW !!!!!

I used to cut our grass all the time. My ex had allergies and his face would swell up for a couple of days. He didn't like me doing it, thought it was "the man's job" - phooey! Why should he have to suffer with all that, so I just cut it. :)

    Very nice of you.

Yes it is a monkey. I got it off the monkey box forum when it was active. Some folks here are still using their monkey box's and it is a real nice wood mod.

    Ahhhh, i c now.

When I was a kid the school provided the instruments. Yeah I know. We were the richest school district in Ohio.Ask me why...Because The Proctor and Gamble Co started in our little city and paid for all of our school taxes.Whatever the school wanted we got.It was a tiny city of 5,000 people. Most of the citizens worked for Proctors all blue collars...It was a win win situation. Then as they became an international company they started to relocate other places because they had no room to grow in what we called Ivorydale.
My kids rented theirs. If they decided they hated it they would just return it and move on.Both my sons did percussion. I know what you're thinking drums and cymbals...That was waaaaaaay better than clarinet or sax.The shrillness of the wind instruments literally made my teeth hurt.I'd go with renting first.Sometimes they allow you to pay as you go until you own it.

Wow spendy. Have you looked into rentals?
Edit: for the clarinet, rental clothes would just be weird...though hmmmm

*whew* I thought I was alone! Did you see that NASA will be landing their latest Martian rover, Curiosity, tonight? Theve only given it a 60% chance of success. It will be streaming live on nasa.gov and I cant tell if its going to be on NASA TV or not.

I hope I didn't miss much on pages 6213 -present....I just don't have the patience for the pages to load.

Tiff, rent the clarinet if you can. I think AJ's trumpet was 250.00 a year & paid for by the end of 8th grade. Its not seen the light of day since, so if you know anyone that wants to purchase a trumpet - let me know. He kept it in mint condition. Or, call the band director tomorrow and see if they have any she can use for right now - explain situation, our middle school had plenty of kids who used the school owned instruments.

School clothes shopping has never been easier than this year. Shirts all bought online from a store in MN (The House). He went with a friend who works at a shoe store he buys all his shoes at, gave her cash and got $75.00 shoes for $45.00. I put money in his bank account to buy jeans & shorts, so he can use his debit card & shop without me hovering over him!! :)

    WI shooting - terrible :(

Knee pain a 10, painkillers = about zero relief.

Ironically I used to be a contractor for NASA at Goddard Space Flight Center. Was a lot more into what they were doing then, than now. Not even sure WHAT they're doing now with the current state of things. New a lot of people who went looking for work once the shuttle was scrapped.

I new the red planet was coming up, but didn't know it was so soon. I will have to check on that !!

    Lookin Good...

Thank you. Normally my equipment isn't as shabby as that, but as you can see had my hands full. Will do a clean/waxed shot later, BUT, only after I get it tuned up that is. Will HIDE it in the garage and tell neighbors, "Wow, you still haven't fixed ANY of your riders, ............... hmmmm, mine's broken too..............".

    :)

Morning posse. I can't believe I'm the first post this morning.

Painters arrive in about 5 minutes. Finally, the first floor will be finished. I can't wait to get my house back in order. At least part of it has been dismantled or in disarray since May.

Then next year, we can move upstairs and do it all again. :)

I hope you all have a great day!
