Sorry for the BIG pic, but landing on Mars, and the complexity of JUST the landing is worth the load time (I hope).
.Tiff's videos made me forget something....
Tonight was the best gym night ever. It was so great, I didnt even go. After nearly falling asleep twice on the way home, I figured just getting home was a better idea. I did wrestle with the kids though. That counts, right?
I just got done inputting my results from last week's health assessment. I upped my score from an 82 to 90, even though I weigh 10 pounds more now than I did a year ago. And this thing said that my "ideal" weight was 137-179.... REALLY?!?!? I havent been 137 since SIXTH GRADE!!!! What do they expect, for me to walk around with a 12 inch waist?!?!?!? WTF.... Right now, Im just hoping that I will be at ten pounds gone by the time the end of the week rolls around. Im still shooting for 210 by the time we go to the beach in a couple of weeks.
The Mars rover, Curiosity, made a safe landing at 1:32am EST this morning! It has already sent back a couple of pictures. So far, the 2.8+ BILLION dollars spent on it is working as well as they had hoped!
OMG that dinner was soooo good. I just wish it lasted longer or there was more of it. As it is, Im only 10 calories under my daily limit for the day.
And Im not sweet. Im a bitter old ugly fat guy with an ego the size of Oklahoma and a sarcastic streak thats about as wide as the Pacific. But Im also honest. I meant it.
I DVR'd it so I could watch it. I knew I couldnt stay up till 1-2am when I have to be up at 5am. Once I saw they were going to control the decent, then cut loose the parachute, then use rockets to get to the landing zone, THEN nearly hover for the sky crane... I was expecting it to hold up to its 40% odds of failure. I cant wait to start seeing the results of the different chemistry tests that that lab can do!
350 Million miles and they hit just off the bullseye of their target landing zone, but well within the ellipse.Sorry for the BIG pic, but landing on Mars, and the complexity of JUST the landing is worth the load time (I hope).
Im not comfortable with my weight, but there isnt a snowlakes chance in he ll that I will ever see 137 any where but my left man-boob.Sounds like the perfect workout to me! Yep, wrestling with the kids counts ~ probably more so than a gym workout.
Those ideal weight charts suck! There is no way I could ever be the size they say I should for my height. I'm tall, 5'9", and my "ideal" weight to me is whatever I'm comfortable with. Right now I'm not so comfortable but will be working on that. Maybe I'll cut some grass.
Well, thank you for being honest then. Old?! I thought you were younger than me.
G'Night Tiff!!!I'm going to bed to read myself to sleep. See everyone tomorrow. Night.....
Those were the odds NASA gave it. 60% percent success rate. Im sure they were being conservative with the estimated odds, but its till a nearly $3 Billion long shot!I had NO idea they were going to use a Sky crane. Just incredible. And you say it was a 40% acceptable fail, wow. No offense, but let's see China do that ....
G'night Drott!See ya in the AM.![]()
Im not comfortable with my weight, but there isnt a snowlakes chance in he ll that I will ever see 137 any where but my left man-boob.

I am just a bit taller than 4 ft. 5'11''. And Im not a small guy. I dont mean fat either. Im just naturally big. Wide shoulders, thick neck. My right moob may see 137 again... but my left never will. Seriously, I think I looked pretty good at 190. My goal is 185. I know its possible, I just need to work at it. I cant have too many nights like tonight or I just get in the habit of not going to the gym. A good workout can burn an entire lunch's worth of calories off. And that makes a huge difference when trying to drop 2 pounds a week.James, that weight range is utterly ridiculous! There's not a snowball's chance of me ever seeing 137 again, so unless you're only about 4 feet tall (you are taller than that, right??) they are out of their gourds!
I think the Mars stuff is way too cool! I'm upset that I hadn't really heard anything about it until the landing was announced, but I will certainly be following it from now on!
^^^^What she said^^^^OMG JD, can't like any of that.I hope your wife's grandmother is okay.
Spicy it sounded like you have/had/are a longer user of the Vivi Nova, what are your thoughts on my initial impressions ? What voltage, and ohmage are you running ??
I've seen dogs like that at work. It's really cute. My mom's dog has an under bite, one tooth on one side of his mouth sticks out of his mouth. It's yellow since it is always poking out so we joke that he needs a little tiny crest white strip.
Back in lousyana. Came home to a tripped breaker and a thawed out deep freeze. Home about a half hour and got call wifes grandmother was on way to hospital with chest pains. And to top it off went to charge a couple batteries and my charger is broke.
