According to my calculations, I've saved $143.86 in 5.3 months*. Yes, that's $0.88 per day!! Lots of the money I've spent has been on doo-dads, but that's what makes it fun!

*I was less than a PAD smoker and paid $5/pack here.

Edited to add.......Oops, I forgot another $25 or so for Nitecore charger!

ok startedout with a cheap starter kit, that was 50.00, Then 2 weeks later upgraded to ego twists,4 clearomizers, and some nasty juice from the smoke shop 100.00. 2 orders to mtbakervapor to get juice I could actually stand, there went another 100.00. So thats about 250.00 over 4 months. but now im happy with my setup,so that should not have to spend anymore on equiptment, for a while at least.

$2,370.83 since the beginning of the year. Mind you, I spent $521 on stuff for friends to encourage them to start vaping. For a pensioner, that's a considerable sum. I have saved $2,866 (cigs are expensive in Canada), so I am still ahead of the game. I think I have found my ADV and my equipment is first class (Provari, 2 Sigelei Zmax, a K100 and a couple of Twists, half a dozen Protanks, 2 Puritanks and a host of Evods and Vivi Nova.
I'm addicted to purchasing -- but I love it!

As a kid on vacation in Canada, the first pack I purchased was "Players", and I *think* they came in packs of 25. Do they still sell those, and how much in Canadian is a pack of cigarettes?

Out of curiosity I wanted to know how much some of you have spent on vaping. Add it all up and if you are willing give a number. This is not a competitive thing. Just curious since I plan on making a hobby out of vaping. Even if I cut out nicotine I will continue to vape.

I have already spent around $150 spread out between a starter kit, a better variable voltage e-Go, an iClear 30, a couple more cheep clearos, and juices. I smoke about 1-2 ml per day. So I'm relatively heavy smoker. I plan on spending $60 on a new iTaste SVD and probably a Protank or some new cartos. So I will be breaking $250 easy for my new vape habit :) So what about you guys!? :D

Well, one thing to keep in mind, hardware is durable and you don't have to replace it so frequently. I mean, cigarettes, you're going to set them on fire. On purpose. :)

I didn't total up my hardware costs. I just did a thing at the beginning that if I spent no more total than my smoking cost me, I was good. Cigs cost so much these days, I went through three kits, the third "took" and I've stayed with it. And ordered truckloads of sample juices. Most of which I ended up not liking.

And still didn't spend more than smoking cost me!

Once I got rolling, costs came down in an absolutely spectacular fashion. Discovered ordering plain nic and flavors and mixing your own liquids and, wham, dropped to, oh, $45 a month at most? Found bulk nic juice and just slashed that in half.

Heh, my vape costs are now less than my Internet bill. :)

In my three analog free weeks, I've spent well over $200, just trying to find what is right for me. Buuuuut, I live close to mov, and a b&m 2 minutes away(which has slightly higher prices).

Since this post, I have bought some zombie apocalypse fron aiv, frankenvape, an aga t2, parts for aga t2, vamo v3, 2 octo rda, 1 smok rda, some aiv samples, another protank, liqua juice, igo l. 100 ft. 32ga kanthal, and some more liquid from mov.

I'm probably forgetting something.

I've only been at this since May and I'm sure I've spent well over 200 bucks by now, probably more like 300. Maybe more. I really don't wanna add it up.

If I'd stopped at just what I needed to stay off cigarettes that figure would be substantially lower, but it's hard to resist the temptation to buy more hardware and juices in the never-ending quest for a better vape. If I were smart, I'd stop buying stuff for a while until my existing purchases had been amortized by what I'm saving on cigarettes. But I don't claim to be smart.

I've spent just about exactly what I've saved so far, one month in. However, that includes two full set ups, charger, replacement coils, and juice. With what I have now, I really wouldn't need to spend money on anything but juice for 6 months.

The operative word is need. I didn't need to pick up a Protank II this weekend, I could have just picked up two evods and saved a little $$$. That's where the spending comes in - picking up more than you need because you can and it's fun.

Both me and my wife gave up analogs at the same time, so we had to buy basically two of everything. We are using the CE4+ and will probably be upgrading that in the next few weeks. Wasn't sure on the taste that we wanted so with buying the two starter kits and about a dozen different flavors of juices, back-up batteries, backup clearomizers, etc... I would say in the neighborhood of $400. That sounds like a lot, but we are stocked on juice for a while and going from a pack a day habit that ran $300 a month, we will be in the green soon.

I know this thread died a few months ago but thought it was an interesting subject.
I think I got the cost down about as low as I can get it. Not going to factor initial cost just what I pay now.

Juice: $42 dollars for 3 months supply (236 oz bottle) Mt Baker vapor has awesome prices. I am lucky, have found my long term everyday flavor. Use it exclusively Boom Choco-latte 6mgs with 3 extra shots of flavor.

Wick material: I rebuild wicks, have about 25 of them (wire $10 for a year supply) (wick $10 for 6 month supply) from Ebay

Batteries: I use Ego C-twist, variable voltage 1000-1100 mah. Very durable battery. Replace one a year $25. Just started keeping 3 in cycle, was doing 2 before so maybe I will go more then a year before one needs to be replaced. One battery will last me 1 full day before needing recharge.

So I use about 2-3 mls a day and vape all day long. Juice annual cost $168 + wick supplies $30 + battery $25 and lets factor $30 for shipping costs, equals: $253 per year

That comes to about $21.08 a month or 70 cents a day. That's not bad. Cant even buy a small cup of coffee for that price any more.

Pack of smokes where I live runs about $8, pack a day would be $240 bucks a month or almost my annual vaping cost. So, I have about a 90% savings over analog.

Now that's what I call saving money.

Its been a money pit ever since I quit smoking. Lets see:]

Innoken iTaste VV 3.0
SmokTech ZMax Mini
Nemesis (clone)
SmokTech RSST RBA
Two Mini Protank IIs
Two iSmok Mega BCC
One Protank II
One Uni-Tank
Juices
Batteries
Chargers
Digital Multi-meter

So whatever that adds up to. But I haven't touched a cigarette in over a month so its all worth it!

Just at a hundred bucks now. Started vaping exactly one month ago today with an eGo twist with a couple CE4's and a couple bottles of juice. I recently started making my own juice so I've stocked up on a few flavors and some nicotine base which should keep me going another 3 or 4 months. I do want to upgrade my twist though so I'll be dropping another $75 soon. Way cheaper than analogs could ever be... that is until the government gets their dirty hands into it!!
